Organization Backstory: The Southside Hoods are a collation of gangs from the hoods of Brooklyn, so far made up of two sets; The Garden Family Circle and The Newport Yardies.
Garden Family Circle: Cisco was raised in the Garden Valley Projects. As a poor teenager in the 80's, the street life was all he had. His high school days mostly consisted of skipping class, getting high and committing small time crimes with his friends. Cisco and his best friend dropped out of high school in '84 and got a job working at a nearby warehouse. While working there they made connections with local mobsters and from then on out it was a life of crime, running drugs and doing protection work for the mob. Drugs, parties, money, he had it all, but nothings lasts forever.
The mob eventually fell and he went to work for various street gangs amongst the hood. Every gang he joined failed, but Cisco knew how to survive on the streets and always found somewhere to work. After his last gang war, having to watch most of his friends die, he decided to bring the entire hood together both to make money and gain control of the chaos of the streets. He went back to the project he grew up in and got his remaining friends together to form the Garden Family Circle. Cisco had spent much of his time moving coke in drug labs, and invented a way to cook crack. Using this knowledge he continues making money the only way he knows how, moving drugs with his gang.
Newport Yardies: Odell was born in West Kingston, Jamaica in 1955. He was poor and spent his time doing small jobs to make money, but he was constantly hassled by both gangsters and police. He formed a small gang and began to sell drugs and protect local business from other gangs. His operation was going well until one day in 1976 when the sheriff came to question Odell accusing him of a crime he did not commit. Their talk led to a shootout, with Odell being the victor. Odell fled to New York to lay low and began working at a bar in Brooklyn. The bar was a smoke lounge that many of the local Rastafarians hung out at. The place ended up being constantly harassed by mobsters wanting protection money, trying to extort the place. On a late night in '78 a mobster came in and put his hands on Odell, and Odell killed him. From that point on he was ready to stand up against the mob. He got some of the boys together and formed The Newport Yardies. After working out a deal with the owner of the bar he started a growing operation there. As they sold weed they eventually grew their operation, gaining more grow spots, moving more product, and by 1985 they became the biggest weed hustlers in the hood.
Cisco and Odell met in 1985, while Cisco was still working for a different street gang. The two had a smoke off and quickly became friends afterword. When Cisco formed the Garden Family Circle, Odell agreed to work alongside him to form the Southside Hoods. The gangs work together making money and organzing other street gangs in the hood.
