The Nation of Islam Faction Application - Rhodesia - 05-25-2021

Name of Faction: The Nation of Islam

Ethnic Background (Italian, Greek, African American, Irish, etc): African American.

Organization Backstory (Min. of 250+ Words & any images): The Nation of Islam is a Black American organization which seeks the liberation of the Black Man "by all means necessary", including but not limited to the forbidding of drugs, alcohol, and other negative attributes which they believe plague the African-American community. Infamous for calling Caucasians "white devils", the Nation of Islam believes that the White Man devilishly compels and submits the Black Man in America to societal positions such as slavery, gangs, sharecroppers, and other low positions in the mud of society.
Founded in Detroit Michigan in 1930 by Wallace D. Fard Muhammad, the Nation of Islam grew under the leadership of Elijah Muhammad and most notably Malcolm X - although the nation saw a schism after the former was assassinated by some of its members after leaving the organization.

Nonetheless, the Organization is widely represented in nearly every American city and finds itself gaining a significant membership as their message of Black moral superiority and defense from the "white devil" has received a plethora of attention. The Nation of Islam teaches a number of unorthodox beliefs, although they do not fail to find themselves as popular among the African American community. The organization teaches that the Black man was "the original man", and that the White man was created by means of eugenics. It also teaches that Islam is the original religion of the Black man, which teaches self defense and much needed closeness to God after being persecuted by their devilish oppressors.

The role and purpose of the Nation of Islam on the server is to attempt to unite the various elements of African Americans who are subjected and subjugated to selling drugs, murder, and other immoral and psychological sicknesses and to "clean them up" in order to put the city in the hands of its Black populace instead of the usual Italian-majority control. They are strongly opposed to Gang violence and the use and selling of drugs, and a main part of their program is to get African Americans to stop using weapons on each other and poisoning themselves with drugs. Expected to get backlash from large gangs for attempting to interrupt the gun and weapons trade, the Nation of Islam poses themselves ready to liberate the Black man from their shackles of immorality.

The Nation of Islam is open to all Black men and women, and encourages them to build and strengthen the Black community & make them self sufficient, by means of opening businesses, restaurants, and other organizations for Black men and women. They also have a paramilitary organization called the "Fruit of Islam" which is meant for discipline and self-defense. Their overall goal is to maintain themselves as "soldiers of God" and to help get the Black community away from crime. This includes raiding drug houses, trying to convert gangsters, and eliminate the influence of drugs and crime over the Black community.

After a struggle for power and temporary disbandment, the Nation of Islam lives on in 1985 under the leadership of the Student Minister Louis Farrakhan. Although having a temporary loss in leadership, the Nation still attempts to extend its influence through its assigned ministers which are posted in all major cities around the Country.

The program and demands of the Nation of Islam are as follows:
1. We want freedom. We want a full and complete freedom. 
2. We want justice. Equal justice under the law. We want justice applied equally to all, regardless of creed or class or color. 
3. We want equality of opportunity. We want equal membership in society with the best in civilized society. 
4. We want our people in America whose parents or grandparents were descendants from slaves, to be allowed to establish a separate state or territory of their own--either on this continent or elsewhere. We believe that our former slave masters are obligated to provide such land and that the area must be fertile and minerally rich. We believe that our former slave masters are obligated to maintain and supply our needs in this separate territory for the next 20 to 25 years--until we are able to produce and supply our own needs. 
Since we cannot get along with them in peace and equality, after giving them 400 years of our sweat and blood and receiving in return some of the worst treatment human beings have ever experienced, we believe our contributions to this land and the suffering forced upon us by white America, justifies our demand for complete separation in a state or territory of our own. 
5. We want freedom for all Believers of Islam now held in federal prisons. We want freedom for all black men and women now under death sentence in innumerable prisons in the North as well as the South. We want every black man and woman to have the freedom to accept or reject being separated from the slave master's children and establish a land of their own.
We know that the above plan for the solution of the black and white conflict is the best and only answer to the problem between two people.
6. We want an immediate end to the police brutality and mob attacks against the so-called Negro throughout the United States. We believe that the Federal government should intercede to see that black men and women tried in white courts receive justice in accordance with the laws of the land--or allow us to build a new nation for ourselves, dedicated to justice, freedom and liberty. 
7. As long as we are not allowed to establish a state or territory of our own, we demand not only equal justice under the laws of the United States, but equal employment opportunities--NOW! 
We do not believe that after 400 years of free or nearly free labor, sweat and blood, which has helped America become rich and powerful, so many thousands of black people should have to subsist on relief or charity or live in poor houses. 
8. We want the government of the United States to exempt our people from ALL taxation as long as we are deprived of equal justice under the laws of the land. 
9. We want equal education--but separate schools up to 16 for boys and 18 for girls on the condition that the girls be sent to women's colleges and universities. We want all black children educated, taught and trained by their own teachers. Under such schooling system we believe we will make a better nation of people. The United States government should provide, free, all necessary text books and equipment, schools and college buildings. The Muslim teachers shall be left free to teach and train their people in the way of righteousness, decency and self respect. 
10. We believe that intermarriage or race mixing should be prohibited. We want the religion of Islam taught without hindrance or suppression.

As impressive as this application is, there's no point in making this a whitelist faction as it mostly falls in with other political parties/entities.

As stated in the application for this faction, the purpose of the Nation is to try to combat Black Gangs are more or less unite them into this faction for the beliefs and reasonings stated above. The faction has its armed paramilitary, the Fruit of Islam, to try and do so - as obviously the attempts to combat gang organizations would be quite violent. 
I am not sure of any other "political party/entity" which has an army of soldiers whose goal is to raid gang houses to get rid of drugs which they believe are hurting their community.

Okay, so maybe you have a purpose in being a natural enemy of black gangs, but your lore wouldn't allow you to have a racket and fund your private army, nor would you have any troubled African-Americans to target, because there aren't any actual gangs beyond a handful of friends on throwaway characters. The horse comes before the carriage.

I really believe this is such an amazing idea. Too often do the 'MafiaRP' servers cater to the "italian gang" idea. It becomes stale.

It's time for some truly unique roleplay to flourish.

We don't need a racket, we've had much luck collecting donations from people so far. We've also met with a handful of gang members today and Black casino owners to support the organization. The horse is there and it's benefitted us fine so far.

Not to mention, our main manpower pool is not just stealing people from gangs, we have over 10 people who are loyal members of the organization.
