Organization Backstory (Min. of 250+ Words & any images): In the late 1960s, a young salvadorian boy whitnessed his mother and father get executed on the spot by corrupt police officers for having illegally crossed the border of Mexico into the united states. The young boy, flees the scene in hurry as to not get captured and is spared by the officers. The young boy, filled with grief, grows up without parents needing to fend for himself in a hostile enviroment. After over a year of being alone on the streets busking, the boy resorts to picking pockets and his actions don't go unnoticed.


On a fateful night, the boy by sheer luck stumbles across a rebelion of mexicans and salvadorians. being picked up under their wings, the boy begins trafficking drugs and weapons in the state of New York. As time goes by, the rebelion turns into a fully fledged street gang, known for their brutal nature in robbing and trafficking. The boy, having climbed the ranks and now being a trusted member of the gang, is enforced to engage in gunfights.


The gang, not having a true name yet, faces a defeat in which the boy took part leaving no survivors other than the boy, who was thought to be dead after having been shot by the opposing gang members and being onconcious. The almost lifeless boy returns to the gangs hideout with a goal in mind, taking control. He remembered how weak he felt when he was sparred for the first time and this time he wanted to feel stronger than ever. After having limped across the city of New-York the boy arrives to his hideout with one magazine left in his gun, and assasinates his once friends in the goal of taking control. The now 17 year old boy, being feared by the other gang members, dictates his role in the gang. Being the undesputed leader of the gang, the boy names the gang Mara Salvatrucha but other gang members know them as MS-13.


Enter the 1980s, MS-13 is now known for their heinous crimes and continue to traffic drugs and weapons around America. This time around they traffic under the once young innocent boys regime, being an openly brutal and unforgiving gang. This is the story of Mara Salvatrucha. This is the story of a once young boy named Joaquin Zaragoza.
