Would like ban removed from record - Paulsies - 10-20-2021 Your Name: Lina Martin Your SteamID (Click to retrieve): 1199910079 C Reason for ban: "Violating Metagaming Rules | Using ooc discord to communicate IC'ly" -baldrick Length of ban: 1 day Reason for appeal (dispute/apology): - Baldrick did not enter the VC. He didn't know what was being discussed and to what effect it may have been valued IC.  - information wasn't being used to leverage power over any other individuals; it was being used to instruct new players and give them proper guidelines. - There is no evidence of what was being said to prove using OOC Discord to communicate IC'ly. Nor is it a rule at all to my understanding that you can't hang out with friends in a vc while playing a game. By this logic you would have to ban a lot of people and it'd be really easy thing to do as everyone hangs out in vc while their standing in a restaurants, apartments, and etc. Why should you be unbanned? I enjoy my time on the server- and I spend much of my free time on it. I was awfully upset and confused after I not only I- but three other people were banned for what I thought was a pretty absurd reason.  While trying to teach new players the ropes; under the guise that we were communicating  IC information out of character in a discord, we were banned. I'll be the first to admit myself and a few of the other people were in discord. I understand, respect, and support the rule that metagaming should never be allowed because it harms the integrity of roleplay- or worse yet the experience others have in the server. However when I'm banned while waiting for processing- standing in a room doing quite literally nothing; its quite upsetting. Nothing is being done to harm others or gain an unfair advantage over others; in fact at the time I was instructing three brand new players who have since said they're apprehensive about re-joining the server out of fear for similar experience. To be fair if that was my first experience- I don't blame them. Yes I understand the ban is almost over but I don't want it on my record. If you look at logs I even make looc to ask staff questions so that I don't get IN trouble for metagaming. Would be nice to see that screenshot, or any other screenshots of my key binds: /me sends a pager, /me receives a pager, /me man from rooftop sends a pager, most always carrying a phone and radio on me at all times, the list goes on.  Additional Information (images, videos, etc): RE: Would like ban removed from record - Baldrick - 10-20-2021 Hello The reason you were banned was for Violating Metagaming Rules | Using OOC discord to communicate IC'LY Yesterday night for me, I had started watching you and three other people, I had then noticed that you were barley talking In-game to each other at all, but still managed to follow each other know where each other were, and drop stuff for each other without stating anything on mic in-game. I also knew that you Paulsies had a discord, that many people were in, so I decided to check that to see if your group was communicating in there, and then once I check your discord server Celeberal Paulsies, I see 4 people in a VC Called "Garry's Mod" and in that VC, it was you, and the other members of your group in-game in that VC. One of the members in that VC proves this point that you were in fact using that discord to communicate IC'ly is his ban appeal stating that "she all in Voice Chat, showed us where to go for processing, how to set up equipment, the ins and outs of purchasing and pricing. " And also "We joined her discord in the hotel and started talking about irrelevant shit, just vibing making fun, we ran off the cocaine processing (Mind you nothing was said in discord about where we were going.) Just as we sell our items we're banned for a day." As stated by your friend who was in the discord, he did say that you were teaching them IC things such as how to process, how to set up equipment, overall communicating about IC things in that OOC discord. So I gathered up all my proof I had on your group for using that Discord to communicate In-game which is not allowed, as that discord is not owned by Diverge Networks, nor does it have a member of management in it with Admin Perms, so with the evidence of, your group all being in a VC called Garry's Mod, in that server, and in-game barley communicating via mic, but still managing to follow each other and drop stuff for each other, I can prove this by the clips I took while spectating your group. I issued a ban on the members of the group, as the dots lined up to me that those 4 users including yourself, were using that OOC Discord to communicate IC'ly. You also state in this appeal that you were banned while waiting for your drugs to process in a room doing nothing, this is false as you were banned while standing near the ATM, at the hardware store I also have evidence of this.
