Raising Jailtimes for more prison RP - Black_George - 10-25-2021

Raising the prison time

1 years should equal more time irl, so for 1 year it might be 3 minutes.

What will this effect?

- More prison RP, due to more time spend in jail
- More legalRP, cuz people woundn't like to go to jail
- Criminal sentences have more weight
- It makes more sense, cuz in the past people would be forced into signing a plea deal, because it is a better option then spending 4 hours on a court case that is going to decide if you are going to spend 15 minutes in jail.
- Furthermore good RP practicality enforces

Hell nah bruh, the jails aren't even big enough for jail rp

People shouldn't be given a relatively real punishment in terms of a load of time being wasted for doing their RP. Doing drug RP doesn't mean they should be punished with an hour in jail for getting caught. It just makes them not want to do the RP, not to be more careful while doing so.

What do you mean it makes them not want to be careful? isn't it in contrarly, like you don't want to be long in jail so you are more careful.

Is 1 minute per year not good enough in that regard? If they are only going to be in there staring at a cell door for an hour then its pointless. They may as well be out doing RP rather than on a timeout for being naughty.

I believe that by the short times in jail there is little to no risk involved in getting caught, also by that it will be making court more active, people will be more exp. in court, by that more legal personell (Judges, defenders and prosecutors). Also we have a very realistic legal system, why don't we also have a stronger punishment, yes people sit more in jail, but in my eyes it does more good then bad.

I would like to add to this - You shouldn't be able to ask for a court case if it isn't a felony or any major crimes as 9/10 times the officer just lets them go as it will be like a couple of days before the guy sees a courtroom and get the sentence of like 10 minutes which is just fucked and puts people off. TBH it just leads to bad rp where all you have to do to get away with a crime is say "I would like to take this to court"
