Organization Backstory (Min. of 150+ Words): Sammy Goldberg was a German Jew who found true pain and suffering during the Second World War. During the events of the holocaust Sammy is famous for orchestrating underground Jewish resistance that would translate into a large crime underground following the war. Sammy moved to Israel after the war and fought in the conflict of Israeli freedom in 1948 gaining influence with the arm industry in the conflict. Following this war Sammy would go on to set up the largest newspaper business in Israel known as “Goldberg Family News” which was used to keep suspicion off of Sammy’s gun trafficking. The Goldberg families enterprise would become the largest part of the organized gun-running operation of Israel. However his enterprise would be torn down soon after it started by an overzealous officer of Mossad (Israeli Secret Intelligence). Sammy Goldberg was given 40 years for his crimes and his family's reputation was further tarnished. However Sammy Goldbergs’s legacy would be expanded on by his five sons. The two older twins, Timothy and Cletus, would start by growing and selling illegal weapons with Cletus operating as the brains and Timmy as the muscle. Their criminal adventures would be cut short by a draft notice for the Yom Kippur War, and it was here they learned the discipline to run a crime family. The two brothers would return men changed by the circumstances placed on them, and they would recruit their 3 younger brothers into an expanded upon firearm operation. The brothers Garry and Freddie would operate as muscle for the inexperienced family. While the youngest brother, Charles, was their watchdog that kept an eye on the businesses while the other brothers weren’t available. Their gun business would soon become the largest in their Jerusalem Neighborhood, and the brothers decided to expand their territory by recruiting their cousins Christopher Perez and Ashton Goldberg into the fold. However this period of rapid expansion was followed by an anti-gunrunning Mossad operation that required the family to move into the United States, specifically the southside area. While regaining their foothold on the gun trade has been a dubious task; a friend in the area informed them of a job involving running the press. Remembering the legacy of their father, and using the profits garnered by their years of gun-running: the brothers began a new operation of Jewish Media. While the present is filled with sorrow, the hope for tomorrow keeps the family strong and united.
