1926-1938    (New Beginnings)
The Lucchese crime family began on the streets of New York in Queens under two men by the name of Carmine Santora and Santino "Sonny" Ricci. The duo operated out of a high end restaurant called the Napoli Cafe. This is where they befriended a low level bootlegger by the name of Johnny Scalone, with the help of Scalone the three created a large scale moonshine operation out of the suburban neighborhood of Greenville. The gang began to expand with new recruits and with it Carmine, Sonny and Johnny all gained respect on the street; they also began movin narcotics into the city via their connections with the waterfront union. Carmine was mentored by the Consigliere of the Gambino family by the name of Michael DiMeo. Eventually the Santora Gang began to adopt the values and tradition of their Cosa Nostra brothers and on April 7th 1942 the commission adopted the Santora's as the newest family of New York. However as time went on their leader Carmine became paranoid and ordered the deaths of 16 of his closest friends Including Santino Ricci. Eventually the commission stepped in and offered Carmine a choice to either die or be forced into retirement. Carmine agreed and retired to a mansion in Florida where he would spend the rest of his days.

1938-1958     (The Golden Age)
By now a new man by the name of James Lucchese had taken over the family and to put their bad reputation behind them he renamed the family into the Lucchese Crime Family. Under James the family prospered during the early 50's and this wave of recruitment brought in my notable figures such as Corrado Giordani, George Castellino and more. The family also returned to its roots in Sicily and became allied with a Sicillian Clan by the name of the Castigliones. Using their connections in Sicily they began importing Heroin to Florida where it was distributed all across the east coast. Eventually James became old and was deemed unfit to run the family so the decision was made by his underlings to get rid of him. On December 19th 1959 James Lucchese was found dead in the trunk of his car with several bullet wounds to the chest.

1958-1967    (The Civil War)
After James's death his underboss Angelo D'Arco took over and he installed his close friend George Castellino as his underboss. Angelo ran the family for several years however he failed to share his profits from his heroin pipeline with the commission and so the order was given to take him out. On January 15th 1964 two gunmen rushed Angelo while he was eating at a small cafe shooting him 4 times. After Angelo was killed his close friend George Castellino took over the family and expanded its operations to Florida by installing Frank Corallo as a capo down in Miami. George was beloved by his people and ruled the family up until 1972 when for the first time the Government used the RICO law to convict multiple mafia bosses including  George who was convicted of Labor Racketeering and was sentenced to 3 life sentences. After George was incarcerated the capo's had a meeting and elected Anthony Casso to become the new boss of the family. Anthony established a stronger connection with Florida by putting three more captains down there that included Richie Santoro, Vincent Gigante and Michael Loccasio. Casso also installed his two closest friends Vitto Morelli and Corrado Giordani as his underboss and consigliere. Vincent Gigante began to start using his own product and he became increasingly paranoid to the point where he believed a false rumour that Casso was going to have him whacked. Because of this Gigante sought help from the F.B.I and became a government informant. This would result in Casso being arrested and charged with Drug trafficking, Murder, Extortion and more. Casso insisted on running the family from prison and so he appointed Vitto Morelli as his new Acting Boss however the street boss Bobby Scalone saw himself as the rightful boss of the family and began making moves to take over. Casso told Morelli to have Scalone whacked so Morelli called a meeting in Florida to discuss the reorganization of the family. While Scalone was staying at his hotel three gunmen ambushed him and shot him  4 times. Incredibly Scalone survived and immediately retaliated by having one of his capo's Johhny Costello whack Morelli. After Morelli was killed Scalone and Costelli declared themselves the new leaders of the family however Morelli loyalists that included Richie Santoro and Michael Latrareze decided to avenge there boss by luring Johnny Costello to meeting under the pretense of kicking up to the boss where they killed him by shooting him in the head twice. Scalone retaliated by attempting to kill Occasion however L'occasion survived. Loccasio wanted revenge and so Richie and his friend Lorenzeo lured the shooter named Anthony Costa to a motel where they shot him to death and disposed of his body. After this Scalone fled and sought help from the cartel however he was betrayed and was handed to L'occasion where he was executed putting an end to his rebellion. Michael Loccasio became the new Acting Boss while Richie was promoted to underboss with Tommy De Luca and Romeo Strano taking their place as capo's. However the war did not go unnoticed and Michael Loccasio was arrested and put away for life with Richie becoming the new boss in the turn of the century he would now have to rebuild the family during a new age.

1968-1974     (A New Era)
During the aftermath of the civil war the fed’s began to close in on the leadership of the family and it didn’t take long for Michael to be arrested in a sweeping raid by the FBI. After this the families leadership was left in disarray and Richie wanted to find a replacement for the position of boss in order to save his own skin and to keep himself out of the prying eyes of the FBI. One ambitious Capo stepped up to the plate and took command of the family. Giuessepie Falzone transformed the discouraged street thugs into hardened soldiers with new traditions and tactics. Under his leadership the Lucchese’s began operating more discreet rackets such as Stock Fraud and Labor Racketeering. Ultimately these new policies saved the family from the brink of collapse and ensured their survival in a new era.
