Anton and Roman Zamfir grew up in Lași, Romania. Their parents were never close which made the two brothers not take each other for granted. As the two got older they realized that they were an unstoppable duo not to be reckoned with. They got into a lot of trouble throughout their early 20’s and had to leave the country to America, “The Land of Opportunity.” Both Anton and Roman decided to take a boat to New England and when there, started new lives as jewelers, naming the company Zamfir Gemstones.


The business was a big success over the years so in their 30’s they each found lovers from the many women who would enter looking for jewelry. Roman had two boys named Archie and Lucian, while Anton also had two boys named Wadim and Sincer. Ironically the kids had a similar upbringing as their fathers due to the mothers becoming distant because of financial troubles within the family business’ dropoff from overseas trades being cut off from the Cold War. This made Anton and Roman turn back to illegal activities to manage bills. Anton would smash and grab from rival jewelry stores in sync to the thunder during storms which gave him the nickname “Dalca'' meaning lightning. Roman was a murder for hire type of guy who brutaly killed his victims and robbed their houses afterwards and took everything he could, giving him the nickname “Dracula” for being evil and greedy as The Devil himself.


The four kids all grew up together and got into their own mischief which summed up to breaking and entering for things they could not get or afford in their current position. Sincer was the leader of their little posse, thinking they were doing what they had to for survival. This gave him his nickname “Sperie,” a shortened term for the word hope that the boys used. Archie earned the nickname “Smiley” due to his gleeful attitude during the criminal acts. Wadim’s robberies were more revengeful to those who wronged his family, giving him the nickname “Karma.” and Lucian taking on illegal/street fighting for money, which he would always win. Giving and calling himself “Lucky”. Eventually Anton and Roman catch on to their children's actions, but instead of punishing them, talk amongst themselves to bring them into this criminal livelihood.




As the year progresses, the Zamfir family gets deeper into crime. They end up finding money in the drug trade and dive head first into whatever they can get their hands on. This goes on for 3 years and they earn enough to live any life they wish, but now they're committed to keep the money rolling and don't see a reason to stop. After a while Anton and Roman decided to give each of their sons a role in the family business. Archie was in charge of handling money and helping out one another with their decisions, let Lucian run a crew, and gave Sincer and Wadim the opportunity to overwatch the crews because the kids would be the ones taking over if anything was to happen to them. After the kids got the hang of the internals, they got more privileges which included setting up their own deals and managing members. They were able to bring along one of their closest friends named Iosif and Fane who were also part of their crew. The Zamfir Family was Officially Born.


While the crews were either drug running/dealing or robbing homes, Iosif and Fane set up a deal with a different kind of gang who were beginning to rise without informing Anton, Roman and Archie about the deal. The rest of the boys all went with the friends to get this deal going, Which ended up being a set up for the Zamfir’s who were getting sticked up by the new gang and by their own so-called friends who were actually running the new gang and wanted to be in control of their district. This ended very bloody and brutal due to Iosif showing that he was being an undercover cop. Fane didn’t take it lightly and shot him in the face. While the commotion was happening the Zamfir’s took draw and started shooting while running away from safety. They ended up losing their product and their closest friends but at least they still had each other to the end. They had to inform the others, but since Iosif was undercover for both Family and Gang the PD only had nicknames so the Zamfir’s thought they were safe. They knew they were going to be investigated once they found Iosif dead with others. Soon Anton would see cops circling closer and closer looking for anything they could find so he let Roman know that they had to move away to continue this life they made together. The family has a sit down and talk about how they all need to be very careful and that everyone was to move to New York because Anton and Roman found ins with an organization there. 2 weeks later they pack up and move. The Zamfir’s had an inner family meeting after just getting there to discuss changing their Family Crime name to not bring any attention from US Customs and such. They’ve agreed to be called the Cel Tradat Sindicatului, The Betrayed Syndicate. While being new in the City, they found themselves greeted by the org. that was waiting for them who only did it because of the family name. This was weird because none of them had met prior to moving. They then tell the Zamfir’s that there are people with the same last name in New York who they've done business with many times and were going to introduce. The next day Anton and Roman’s families meet some people who they've never met before. Turns out their father had slept around and there are more Zamfir’s out there just waiting to be found in this “Land of Opportunity.” This was a good opportunity for the Zamfir Family to expand their business ventures with more associates, allies and connections of their own in the Southside of New York.
