YoungYears
Charles Leibermann was born in 1917 Warsaw Poland. Charles was born into a poor Jewish family, and didn’t have a good education due to his poor family. Upon the age of 18 Charles Leibermann joined the Poland military in 1935. It was the end of Prohibition, many things were changing in America during this time and Charles wanted a piece of that. Charles stayed with the Poland Military and did small hustles, like stealing cattle and from villages. Charles was dishonorably discharged in 1937 when Charles was 20.
AdultHood
Charles immigrated to the US in 1938. Charles got a job as a bartender which was owned by some Italians. Charles slowly learned Italian and was able to come off as an Italian man at times. One day Charles noticed two Italian men meeting with a Jewish man. An argument ensued and the Italians left the bar. Charles approached the Jewish man and using his new skilled charisma, managed to engage in a conversation with him. Charles sat at his table, and they drank together and spoke about their pasts. The man's name was Joshua Flegenheimer. Charles instantly recognized the name from the papers. Joshua Flegenheimer was a Made-Man in the Undzer Shtik, Kosher Nostra, Or Jew Mob whatever you prefer. Charles learnt that the men he was meeting with were the Italian mob. Joshua was trying to sell stolen diamonds, but the Italians didnt want to pay the price and called Joshua a “kike”. Charles and Joshua stayed friends for some months, but one day Joshua asked Charles for a favor. Charles was ordered to drop an unknown man off at a hotel, drive around the block for two minutes, and return. Charles did just that, as he drove around he heard the sound of gunshots, and Charles returned back seeing the man he dropped off holding two revolvers. Charles took the man to a safehouse and returned back to Joshua. He kept doing favors, until 1940. Joshua located the two men who called him and a kike, and sent Charles to “deal” with them. Charles drove by in a taxi, seeing the two Italians at a pawn shop. Charles took out his Thompson, leaning it against the door frame as he fired an entire drum mag into the Italians area. It made headlines, “Mob Hit at local Pawn Shop, 3 dead.” The third kill was a bystander, Charles felt guilty, but didn’t blame himself as he couldn’t see all that well in the dark. Charles was now made in the Undzer Shtik.
Undzer Shtik
The Undzer Shtik aka Kosher Mob is the name the Jewish Mafia went by in the US. The Jewish Mob built the platform that other Mobs and Crime Syndicates later became. Charles was a Made-Man for 5 years, 1945 was when he was promoted to Caporegime of Undzer Shtik. Joshua Flegenheimer was the new Underboss. Charles was somewhat of a wealthy man, owning his own place and such. Charles would eat out at fancy restaurants, and would always be the one to be sent when someone needed to be straightened out. Charles Leibermann was nicknamed, “knuckles” because of how much people feared him. When someone was being disrespectful, Joshua would tell Charles, and Charles would handle the rest. Charles was inspired by Arnold Rothstein, a Jewish Crime Boss. Sadly he died in 1928. In 1948, Joshua was killed in a mob hit, which everyone knew was done by the Italians. Charles was enraged by this, and wanted war.
War
The Undzer Shtik and the Italian Mob went to an unofficial but bloody war. Every week there was a hit, every day a fight breaking out. It was the bloodiest two months in New York. Charles was still a Caporegime, and constantly had his guys beating on Italians and fire bombing their joints. Charles loved Joshua, he was his friend, his only true friend, the only person he could trust in this life. Eventually, The Italian Bosses and The Jewish Bosses had a sit down. After two whole months of constant blood shed, peace was declared. Charles felt like he had his revenge, he had killed the men who killed Joshua in the first month of the war.
1950s
In 1950 Charles was 33. Charles was a Consigliere at this point. Charles “Knuckles” Leibermann was still pretty young and still was the one sent to straighten people out. Jason “The Nerd” Hoffman was the current boss of Undzer Shtik. Hoffman did not like Charles because Charles seemed like an impatient man that wanted to get to the top. A man who would betray and stab in the back to get to the position. In 1952 Charles turned 35. Hoffman sent Charles to go “deal” with a rat. Apparently one of the associates has been wearing a wire because the feds were threatening to get him on racketeering charges. Charles went down to a bar he was at, walked in with a mask and shot the snitch 3 times in the head and tried to run off. It was a trap, The police surrounded the building and Charles was tackled to the ground instantly. Charles knew Hoffman set him up, and Charles was charged with First Degree Murder x1 and resisting arrest. Charles was sentenced to 6 years in prison and to be released in 1958. Charles quickly adapted to prison life, not letting himself be bossed around. Charles started his own gang, calling themselves “Undzer Shtik” because that's who they were. Charles ran the prison until 1958. Charles was released with some of his gang at 41 years old. Charles found out Hoffman was staying at a hotel in Chicago. Charles talked to his contacts, and got weapons for the hit. Charles and 6 other men raided the hotel, shooting anyone who got in their way. Eventually when they got to Hoffman’s room, Hoffman was gunned down. The headlines were, “Mass shooting at Hotel, Jewish Mob Boss shot 27 times. 7 Dead.” Charles rejoined the Undzer Shtik and was the new Underboss. He couldn’t fully take it over yet, he needed to earn the rank of Boss.
1960s
Charles was living the life. He had more money than he could ever want. Every week he was rolling in millions from rackets. A lot of his old friends were in prison on murder, extortion and racketeering but thanks to the lawyers they had, they would be out in a couple years. Charles got to meet Jimmy Hoffa in 1961. Charles only got to meet him because The Boss of the Undzer Shtik had a meeting with him. In 1962 Charles was 45 which he considered young. Charles considered anything above 65 to be old. In 1962 Undzer Shtik was making a lot of money. They had money laundering places, pubs, casinos, they had their hands in everything. The Undzer Shtik at this point was a very secret organization, of course people knew of them and that they existed but they acted very secretly. People who opened their mouths too much though usually ended up having the barrel of a .45 aiming in their mouth by the end of the week. In 1965 Charles was 48. Charles was handling a lot of the drug rackets and collecting kick ups. Even though Charles was a bastard to deal with, he let people slide on kick ups often. As long as they ended up paying in the end, that's all he cared about. In 1966, The Boss of Undzer Shtik was killed in a random mugging on the sidewalk. Charles Leibermann became the new Boss in 1966 at 49 years old.
1970s
In 1970, Charles focused on straightening things out with The Italian Mob. Things have always been bad between Jews and Italians, Charles never trusted Italians and probably never will due to his past history with them. Before he could do that, he had to deal with a snitch that could put Charles away for a long time. Charles remembered what happened in 1964, A man named Winston Mosley stabbed a woman in public and no one called the cops, the “Bystander Effect”. (true story) Charles knew the snitch would always hang out in public in fear of getting whacked. Charles went out and saw the snitch hanging outside a bar with at least 6 people. Charles walked up, and shot him 4 times in the chest and slowly walked off, no one called the police until 17minutes later. In 1971 Charles had a sit down with the Italians, they had a truce and from there no more shit went down between the two mobs at least up to 1986. In 1974, Charles opened bakeries all around New York, called: “Liebermann Delights”. Charles had no intention of going legal as of yet, these were simply fronts. Charles was going to open a corporation called, “Liebermann .Inc”. In 1975 Charles turned 58. Charles was hosting a giant party inside of one of his bars, everything was in the house all night. Charles noticed someone there who recently threatened him, the man kept boasting about how Charles is getting a bit old. About 20 mins into talking with the man, Charles stabbed the man to death with a fork in front of 17 witnesses. No one said a word, the body was buried deep in the woods. The fact no one said a word was actually surprising. Charles’s son John Leibermann yelled at Charles for being so risky. Charles was upset with himself that he let his anger get a hold of him that easily. In 1979 Charles bribed politicians, judges, police, he was gaining as much power as he possibly could. Charles knew the 80s would be tough, as Cartels, Gangs, and other Mobs were moving into New York.
1980s
1980, Charles is now 63 and starting to have some bad pain in his legs. Charles can feel the stages of getting old as his back starts to hurt. Charles would reflect on his life from time to time. He has 3 children, Ayano, John, and Sean. Although he has all these children, he never married. His true love is the life. The mob. Charles thinks about going legit, but he can't see himself doing that. He enjoys being a mobster. Charles was focusing on drug rackets, selling to any addict in the area. Charles wouldn’t do a lot of the hits himself anymore as he is getting old, obviously. But from time to time, Charles likes the adrenaline of dealing with someone himself from time to time. 1982, Charles is now 65. Charles, despite getting older, has no plans of retiring, and plans to run the Undzer Shtik until he passes. His children are already in their mid and early 40s. 1984 Charles is now 67, Approaching his 70s. In 1986 Charles was 69 years old. Charles is diagnosed with lung cancer. Charles may be jewish, but he has had a giant problem with smoking throughout his life. Charles readys his men, The Undzer Shtik are rising from their shadows.
