Black Market Organ Buyer & Unions - TheDroppedFry - 01-08-2022
There are two things I want to address: First is the black market organ buyer idea.
I was thinking there could be a physical business for taking bodies and harvesting them (through Medical RP with an admin watching), then selling them to a Black Market Organ buyer who could accept these donations and compensate the people involved. I do not have much else to expand there except I think it would help encourage medical RP, as more people look for profit incentivizations.
Secondly, I think Unions should become a main part of the server, and with Union Leaders who are active. I believe these unions can help workers collectivize their money to invest in more profitable businesses. I also think that it would allow the mafia to do one of their favorite main things, which is extortion. The problem with the server currently is that everyone is a mafioso and armed, while the small portion of whiteshirts are unarmed and looking for work, instead get a bullet to the face.
I believe that there should be some kind of event that puts all mafiosos to the test, and encourages more Civilian RP. Honestly, mafia shouldn't be the 24/7 work, it should be the Civilian RP that can go on in the city. This can be done if there are more profit incentives for civilians. I think adding some form of a stock market, along with establishing more civilian businesses where people have to speak with one another to profit (like the drugs and whatnot currently) would be a great help in creating a more active and more engaged playerbase.
But seriously, I would like to try the organ buyer idea. It's sick as fuck.

I believe RP is very important and agree with part of this. Unions and Civilian/Legal businesses would promote RP in many ways. I agree that when the city is either Police or Criminal it becomes a game of cops and robbers. There’s no intrigue and not much for civilians to do so they will just be criminals as well. Some sort of organized fronts led by serious people would do a lot of good for everyone. However, one must understand that not much money would be made without a racket. There’s not much in the way of legal rackets. Finding a way to create a way for “unions” to make money in a reliable way will be the only way that “mafias” would even care to extort them. Why would they when they just sell drugs or guns to make “bank”. This isn’t something easy to remedy as it stands. It would require dedicated people that work with staff to make it viable.
I do not support the organ harvesting, this just seems very deplorable to me in a game server such as this. You could make an RP racket with support from others who already have plenty of money but making something with in-game mechanics doesn’t seem a likely scenario to me.
I would suggest opening a discord to rather together those who would like to see Unions and that type or RP to see if it can be worked out by players rather than relying on staff to fuel it. I would be willing to participate personally. Good luck

For Unions to work there needs to be people that want to play legal jobs
For legal jobs to be played there needs to be a reason to play those jobs.
