Car Handling - Andres_ - 03-21-2022

Perhaps I am not the first to mention this, I would be surprised if I was.
There really shouldn't be any reason a 100k+ car handles like shit.

I really hope this thread isn't taken the wrong way or as an insult or anything. Because frankly the variety of cars, as well as the detailed interior exterior and sounds is really impressive. New York and Miami look great with the diverse range of economy class work horses and sporty looking high-end cars. Cars are a reflection on the character as well as their status amongst other players. It's also a great example for freedom in player choice and an expression of a character's personality.

The only problem is that the only practical car is the fucking Dodge Monico.
It's the meta right now.
And it's not hard to see why. It's probably the most well-rounded vehicle available. It's not Super expensive, it had pretty good speed and decent handling.
Generally, all cars should be like this with slight or drastic variability depending on the price. Players should be tricked into buying 100k+ car that spins out on every other turn.
Toyota Corolla is a vehicle I love the look and sound of. And it's not a cheap car either.
The speed is there but it's just not worth driving at all. It handles like shit

I am aware that ways of modifying the grip of cars has been talked about, but people shouldn't be force to pay a premium on an already expensive car just for it to be maybe more viable as a car. That's ridiculous.
And I am aware you can test drive a car before you buy it but if I buy ANY car for 100k+ it should just work.
But maybe if I were smarter I would've just bought a Dodge Monico.

Thank you for your time, and I appreciate the work of the Diverge Team.
I apologize for the lengthy suggestion.

+1 want to break the Monico meta

+1 There is no reason a Dodge Monaco should be able to out run a Ferrari that is far from realistic in all regards.

The car handling changes every-so-often, for some reason. As of now the bearcat is like driving on ice, and I don't like it. So hopefully it can be fixed.
