Unpk'd form - RedRick - 04-21-2022 Name of Character: Bobby Catlik SteamID: 76561198884300718 Date of PK:4/21/22 Reason for PK:Shootout with cops Why should you be unPK'd?: I think I should be unpk'd because during the shootout I had with only 2 cops I killed one of them and the other one killed me which is fair. but the problem I have is when the other cop killed me my buddie killed him 1 second after his clip ended. So I say if I'm being pk'd the other cops should too. But at the end of the day I just want a second chance and I think that all the cops on the scene got killed I shouldn't be pk'd for it because they all died too. It makes no sense to only pk one civ and not any cops that died either. But I would just like to have a second chance at playing as that character, I don't want people losing anything I just want to be unpk'd so I can give as much joy to players as I already did before the pk. If possible please provide video evidence or photo evidence if PK does not follow the guidelines: RE: Unpk'd form - Alex Carvetelo - 04-22-2022 The rules about the pk when initiating a gun fight are enforced for a reason. If we follow this sentance you said "I killed one of them and the other one killed me which is fair. but the problem I have is when the other cop killed me my buddie killed him 1 second after his clip ended." It would mean that faction/any groups of players could come up on cops with any amount of members they want and not care about dying since they would outnumber cops. ■ Initiating a shootout or violent confrontation with Police can lead to a PK. Killing or attacking an Officer after initiating a violent confrontation leaves you PK active from officers for about 15 minutes. Generally we want people to not immediately go for the gun when dealing with Police, as a result if you escalate a situation to a shootout and lose you can be punished via PK as your character was killed. This does not apply if it is the Police that fired first or escalated to a shootout. RE: Unpk'd form - Oman - 04-22-2022 Hi RedRick, I was the staff member that PK'd you. Alex has pretty much hit the nail on the head here. This PK came under the "Initiating a shootout or violent confrontation with Police" guideline. As I discussed with you in the sit, the officer dying at the scene would only contribute to an IC situation, such as NLR, IA report etc. At the end of the day, you showed a complete disregard for your life by escalting the situation and in result was killed. Please read the PK guidelines to ensure understand what situations can cause a PK. RE: Unpk'd form - Rem - 04-22-2022 Gunfights are part of PD's job, and it would be unfair if they would have the same PK circumstances as citizens. This meaning they have some more room for the "no value of life" idea. But this also means that any shootout provoked by another individual will not lead to a PK as it is their job to react with force back. Your appeal has been reviewed and denied. We have determined this PK to be reasonable and/or justified. You may not re-appeal this PK. |
