Fist Usage Delay - shrimpsgalore - 05-23-2022
Make users wait until 15 minutes of playtime to be able to use fists, increase punishment to 1day ban minimum.
Fist minging is one of the worst things about the server. Besides "muh immersion" these reasons are why we need more drastic actions:
- The police get distracted from more serious crimes by fist minges (If they're able to control them at all)
- Many players lose items after dying to fist minges/after shooting one and going to jail
- I have seen no decrease in the amount of fist minges from when I was last active (4-6 months ago)
- Fist minges often interrupt legitimate roleplay situations
- (Speculative) Fist minges cause newer serious players to leave in search of a server with more serious RP
- (Speculative) Fist minges cause otherwise normal new players to not take the server seriously, and then become fist minges themselves.
You can also add a popup message saying something like "This server is intended for serious roleplay. Don't randomly punch or provoke strangers, as you wouldn't do this in real life." that new players will see before they unlock fists.

+1 ish. The problem is that they can be targeted for mugging and what stops someone from giving them a gun/crowbar or any weapon?

There already is nothing stopping people from giving whiteshirts bats/guns to murder random people with. It just never happens. I guess because a seasoned player 95% of the time won't give an expensive gun away and violate the rules for no benefit to them.
This should still be better than status quo... And mugged for what? Their $50 starting cash?
