Reason for ban: Fail Mug as PD | Lying in Sit

Reason for appeal: The reason for this ban doesn't really make sense. I was doing nothing but following the Penal Code as an officer. I asked the guy if he had a license for the gun on his back, (said that in the clip I didn't ask for it, but I literally did, which I'm sure the moderator will argue with) and this guy did not answer my question. I followed the Penal Code and put him under arrest for Failure to Inform, and Failure to Comply. (He was also obstructing a crime scene) This was around 25 - 20 seconds until the map change, but that's not really RP enough if I let him go because of the Map Change, so I searched him, saw he had a gun, and I took it since that's my job. I'm supposed to take pictures of any evidence, and confiscate the gun. Once I confiscated the gun, the map changed. Once the map changed and I loaded in, I did not see the suspect at all so I just thought he LTAA'd. I walked away from the crime scene, (it was a bombing and it pked one officer) and he loaded in once I walked away. Some civilian prop blocked the gate, and I got banned for it. I do not understand the "Fail Mug", as I did not mug anyone. I confiscated his gun for evidence, and was going to bring him back to PD as I was supposed to. I just didn't wait long enough, but I did follow procedure and got banned for the following.
Why should you be unbanned? I know it is just 1 day, but I really enjoy the server and being banned for doing what an officer is supposed to do just doesn't really seem fair. When I was in a sit, I explained it to them and they were just saying I was lying and just banned me. At the end of the sit, as I realized they weren't going to listen to what I was trying to say, I was just sarcastically agreeing with them, saying, "definitely" "yea yea." I was honestly just following the Penal Code, and I'm used to people LTAA'ing so they won't get arrested and I misjudged. I don't really want to see this on my ban record as it's a literal misunderstanding, and I also do not even have the confiscated gun anymore, I don't even have a bank account either. Once I was walking down the tunnel heading back to the Car Dealership, he made a 911 call and said "a Probationary Officer just stole my gun and left" He was accusing me of so many things, and the moderator in the sit even said to him that I didn't LTAA.
