Bring back RICO - Lancymase - 05-29-2022
Before I go on my rant here I would like to add I have never made a cop character so im not biased to having the polices life be easier.
So, the crime factions on this server now seem to never be under investigation, which to me feels highly unrealistic. The PD realistically, if they find the info in game, would have piles of names, records, and pictures of notorious crime bosses and families doing crime. Before RICO was removed it had only been used, from my knowledge, twice to take down a family. One was the bonanno's who could have easily won in court, but was fed up with the server and decided to quit.(from what ive heard.) Adding RICO back would also give more incentive for the detectives to be more active around the server. They would have a reason to sit outside a building for a while compiling evidence against a boss, or even just a soldier who is the main guy hiring people. It would also make doing crime an actual risk. Currently all I have to do to buy drugs is do a /rumour and boom. Instant money, little to no skepticism from either party. I can remember when the DEA was a faction, those were hard times for people in the drug business because they would create false drug deals and arrest people for it. At that time people started to be more careful, making sure to always wear gloves, or search the person for wires or bugs. It was a more challenging time for the criminal and I think it wouldn't be a welcome change, but from my perspective is a needed change. It would also cut down on mass recruiting and make the factions more concerned with quality instead of quantity. It would increase metagame a ton which, if staff keep a closer eye on people, wouldn't be that bad of a downside. Welp, thanks for reading this long message if you made it this far.
TLDR: Add RICO back because it makes it more challenging to be a criminal, adds a bit of depth and risk.
