Why should you be unbanned?
As one of three bans that have been issued this morning for the exact same thing, I feel there is no reason why I have been targeted to be banned. There are many other people that have oil characters to help benefit others. This is not inherently against the rules as it does not benefit me nor my main faction in any way, it is simply buying oil from people. Which is a large aspect of the server. People get full profit because they know people with oil characters or are friends with them, it isn’t against the rules to give people more money. It’s called generosity.
Without you witnessing metagame occurring in any way aside from basing your suspicions on logs, I don’t think you should be issuing bans to people. If I am metagaming, why don’t you deal with it in game as you see it? Not actively hunt it out as a hunch within a specific group of people with nothing to base it upon. Without watching me supposably metagame, how do you know it happened or the context of the situation? The short answer is, you don’t. If I had a previous history of item transferring or such I would understand you checking my logs to see if I have done it again. Which I don’t.
I only have one previous warning for shipment camping so why is a seven-day ban reasonable for a case of metagame that has not even been witnessed by you personally. When I use my character I do speak to people and I buy from people that have no relation to my main character. People that are involved in serious metagame cases are never punished in the same way and simply buying oil without typing to people doesn’t add up to serious metagame. How you can say I am just benefiting my main characters faction I truly don’t understand. I hope UA really take this into consideration as there is no proof outside of logs which do not provide context to a situation. Pendred has stated there is no problem with using oil characters in this way as long as there is still RP in the situation. I do RP when buying oil, I simply don’t want to stay on my character longer than I have to, if no one is waiting to buy oil I won’t wait until someone shows up. It would simply be a waste of time as the RP that happens while buying oil is not even comparable to the RP I would rather do on my main character.
