Born in the outskirts of Athens, Simon Bárlos grew up in below average environment to say the least. Only having his mother providing for himself and little brother, Simon learned to grow up quickly. In his early childhood he stole food and snacks from the market near his town which was his introduction to crime. When Simon was younger he would always look out his window and occasionally see a few men smoking on the street corner. One of the men always had a brown paper bag in his other hand and eventually a person would walk down the sidewalk towards them and trade another bag for the one the man was holding. Little did he know he would be soon be in that man's shoes working as a member of the local Greek mob. Once he was a teenager he would begin to be groomed into the mob by doing small jobs. Buying lunch for the drug runners, picking up packages, etc. These small jobs proved his loyalty and dedication to the mob. As he grew up he would be trusted and tasked with bigger things. By the time he was out of high school Simon was a drug runner like the man on the street corner he had seen years before. Unlike some of the other guys in his field, Simon always seemed to make and have more money than the rest earning him the nickname "Plutus",  the Greek god of wealth. Simon got a nice car, watch, and his own apartment. However, tragedy struck only a few years into his drug running days. The assassination of the current don, "Skaftouros" shook the mob to its core. Structure within it crumbled as the underboss went into hiding, made men fled the country, and every man was left to fend for himself. After a few arrests were made on low level drug runners like Simon he moved back home with his mother and brother to lay low and avoid government officials. 3 days after the death of the don Simon was sitting on his bed thinking of his next move when there was a knock at the door. Simon's mother opened the door and two police officers stood there looking in. Simon and one of the officers make eye contact through his bedroom doorway and within seconds Simon grabbed a duffle bag he had prepacked and sprinted out the back door of the house. The duffle bag had a spare change of clothes, $5,050 USD, a family photo, his passport, and a handgun. Simon heard police sirens approaching and he turned down an alley. He hid behind a pile of trash bags and dumpsters for almost half an hour ensuring it would be safe to continue. Simon would soon be found and someone ratted on him and many of his previous associates. At that moment he saw only one way to start over. Simon paid an old friend he knew that was a pilot to get him to the United States of America. He said he could do it but it would cost $5,000. Simon would only have $50 to his name but he reluctantly agreed as he didn't have much of a choice. After making it into the air Simon had a chance to catch his breath and relax. As soon as he touched down in the U.S., Simon made a call to his closest friend Dion. Dion was Simon's friend prior to joining the mob but both ended up in that way of life. Luckily this friend was not captured and was actually considering moving to the U.S. as well to avoid the Greek police and possibly the FBI. Dion had caught wind that almost everyone who was involved in the Greek mob they were apart of was either dead, in custody, or had fled the country. And anyone who was left would be found soon after rumours of the FBI getting invloved. After some convincing he said he would find a way there and give Simon a call if he made it to the city in one piece. Luckily Dion had some connections in the U.S. that he used to do business with that could hook them up with a stead supply of product to get on the streets. After he touched down in Miami he gave Simon a call and they met for lunch at a local burger joint.  Simon explained that he wanted to start something of his own, not a mob per se but a organization that would be strong, but not reckless. A organization that would be discreet, yet have control. Together Simon and Dion would start what would become one of the strongest Greek Syndicates, the Bárlos Syndicate.
