New way to use Legal Factions - Lancymase - 08-11-2022

So, to begin ever single legal faction on diverge has been oil. From Grant enterprises to American oil. None of these companies last because they rely on people purchasing the product they then buy and sell to an NPC. A new way to switch this up is now the faction buys the shipment and sells it to players who then sell it to NPC's. It gets rid of the dependence on the player to sell a product to the company, and it would be more realistic as well. When did companies in real life BUY oil or any product really from a citizen, and then sell it to another company. If this is implemented itĀ could get rid of oil entirely and be replaced with a bunch of new items like Cigarette shipments(Different than the smokable ones),Alcohol, Food, ETC. Maybe also instead of it being only ran by legal factions it also can be bought through an auction to crime families who, sense they rely on legal businesses for recruitment, can actually sell a legal product to have a legal explanation for the amount of money they earn from other means.

+1 Need more legal stuff it could be refined a bit more but more thought has to be put into legal factions.

This is a really great concept I would love to see, alot of the surface level operations that crime familys have are really shit and unused. Cafe's never have more then 1 or 2 people in them and are not profitable at all. It would make so much more sense and from a developer standpoint, it's really not too complicated. I mean this in no way dissrespectful but if you denied this that's got to be pure laziness.

+1 actually bright idea FOR oil factions only. For bidding for a legal front I'm not too sure of because we already have the commerce commission that provides people with licenses to have a legal front.

Well the main point of this suggestion was to add more things than oil to be done for legal factions. And to add to your second comment the commerce commission handles businesses but why can't a crime family or faction do something other than a restaurant, bar, social club, or casino. There should be a lot more diversity with how not just legal factions should be able to make money. Thats why I loved MP's system which allowed a illegal faction to also have an actual "racket" Which could be cigarettes that they sell to civilians who then sell it to an NPC.
