Reason for ban: RDM
Length of ban: 1 week
Reason for appeal (dispute/apology): Was banned for shooting a man who was walking at me with a gun, while wearing a mask. I was delivering $300,000 at the time, and was physically carrying 2 crates of cash when he approached me and my associate, pointing a handgun at us.
Before letting him get the drop on us, I pulled my gun and shot him before he got any close. You can clearly see him walking towards us with a gun in-hand in the video, pointing it at us as we are moving the cash.
Why should you be unbanned?: For the reasons stated above, I had a justified reason to shoot him, as he was pointing a gun at us and moving in our direction WHILE wearing a mask. The money was in plain view, as was the mask and his gun being pointed at us, so I shot him.

In this situation the gentleman who had the gun and mask was not an active threat. He did not give any verbal as to inform that he was going to kill you. You shot him without any interaction. There was also a very extensive record of RDM, Mass RDM and VDM.
"in regards to how a user is allowed to react to verbal threats. There are two types of threats, an 'Active Threat' and a 'Idle threat'. Users may kill for an active threat but they may not kill for an idle a threat. The difference between the two is situational but will always pertain to if the person making the threats has a weapon in their hand. For example, someone pointing a gun at you and threatening to kill you. This is an Active threat. Someone saying they will kill/beat you in an argument or conversation. (Unarmed, weapon on safety etc) that is an idle threat. You are allowed to react to an Active threat in that moment (Not later when the situation is over) but do be aware that breaking fearrp to kill them and dying can result in a PK."

These were not verbal threats, they were active threats in a situation where he could've been robbed. Somebody in the gangster lifestyle is taught not to take chances. The fact he was masked and had a gun approaching them perfectly illustrates a threat to anyone who knows how the criminal mindset works.

It is not darkRP someone can and will kill you without saying anything, a guy in a mask running towards men with a gun out while they are transferring 300k worth of stolen watches and drugs what they are just supposed to let him just rob them? You are allowed to defend yourself this guy was a active threat you see him chasing Bennys affiliate armed along with a mask and he gets a week ban? If anything it should have been a warning and a comp but there was nothing wrong with what Benny did he was only protecting himself from a active threat.

That guy would've gotten PK'd if he a approached a cop like that and the cop had killed him, him pointing that gun at him makes him an active threat.

if it wasn't for your PO's there would be a reduction but due to the situation and your 12 PO's for RDM i think that the punishment is fair, the person was kind of and kind of not a threat I cant see him try and rob you in any way he was just walking in a straight line with a gun out he wasn't looking at either of you with it.
