Restrict the amount of nationalities for factions - Fisher - 12-27-2022

Currently the server is extremely saturated with a large amount of factions with one specific nationality, which kind of restricts the different types of RP people can indulge in.  While I don't have any issues with said oversaturated nationality factions internally, I think there's too many.  What I suggest is a rule to be added that limits the amount of mainstream nationalities or ethnicities(Italian being the main one) to a max of 3 factions per nationality.  The reason I think this should be implemented was stated earlier, there is a massive saturation of one nationality and it leads to new players just going to the first thing they see, and creates an unavoidable imbalance instead of leaving a solid portion of new players finding a faction to chance, and even out the playing field.

tl:dr: too many italians makes the game boring and unfun

Italian infighting. Mafia is an Italian word, it's mafia rp. These things happen. Find someone with balls to cause some inter-wop problems. There also is internal commission issues that players who dont play in the italo-sphere arent privy too.

Up to users to be competent when applying for a new faction and to choose something non Italian

> At 8.3% of the population, Italian Americans compose the largest European American ethnic group in New York City, and are the largest ethnic group in Staten Island (Richmond County), making it the most Italian county in the United States, with 37.7% of the population reporting Italian American ancestry.

Its realistic but the point of your post wasn't if it was realistic or not, it was if it is fun. I agree it is kinda lame seeing everyone using the same phony Italian-American accent. I think regulating it could have the potential to encourage new factions to have different ethnicity and backgrounds then just another Italian mob family. At the same time we are already seeing new non-Italian factions like the Peron Corporation be proposed though. There is a lot of options for unique crime factions to be German, French, Greek, Hispanic, etc. with the in-game languages feature.

Tl;dr I don't know if doing a cap on all crime factions for ethnical background would be the best way to encourage new factions. Definitely more Italian crime factions should stop being added in the future though unless some of the ones which already exist are removed.

Not our fault if Italians are the only applicants making decent apps and actually being active.
