Hello! I am the staff who banned you.
I was looking through the IA reports, as I do daily, when I saw one placed by you regarding an incident in the church alleyway. Initially, I merely denied it because there was no CCTV in the alleyway; however, I decided to take a second look and check the video just in case. The video in question shows you and a friend mugging a random dude in front of an NPC in the alleyway; this is failmug, as you cannot mug someone in front of an NPC because they would be a witness. Additionally, you spoke to your friend via a discord voice call, despite being only a few feet apart. You discussed both mugging the guy and encouraged your friend to beat up the cops in the VC. Upon seeing this video and laughing for a good minute, I consulted with a higher staff member and they confirmed it was a valid ban reason. As such, I chose to issue a 20 hour ban. I was not on the server at the time, and so did not pull you to a sit; additionally, I couldn't check your notes, only your previous bans, and so you got a lighter punishment.
But no, the reason isn't "stupid" and its not "nepotism". We aren't obliged to contact you for every IA report (even if we were, it would be an IC issue), and we aren't obliged to pull you to a sit if the proof is discovered offline or the rule broken is extremely apparent, as it is here.
