this is the first (appeal) i haven't ever done this type of thing before hopefully its correct but as of recently i was pk'd and was just fishing on the docks near the fishing guy for a moment waiting for my food when i went and left to go and get my food i came back to being pk'd with no reason/being afk i have no reason to be pk'd especially after playing the game as normal as possible hopefully i can get this resolved because i don't think it was deserved at all

Why should you be unPK'd? What server rule or PK rule was violated?: i should be unpk'd because i think the main reason of afk never happened and if there was any other reason i was unaware because i was not here if i violated a rule again i wouldnt know what all i did was fish and other than that nothing i did was wrong id love to see what i did if so

Hi Gerald,
I will reply in lieu of the Administrator that executed the PK as they are not currently available.
You were PK'ed for an incident that occurred 20 minutes before the PK was issued, you had a violent confrontation with police and were killed. Being killed when attempting to attack/murder a cop can lead to a PK as a fail condition.

The officer orders you to stop and threatens to taze you. You turn around and un-holster to fire on the officer but your gun is not loaded, the officer reacts while you reload to return fire.
From this perspective it seems like a valid PK, do you have any additional reasoning to dispute the decision?

well i would like to understand but what if this wasnt my idea i had to do this in order to join one of the gangs i had no idea pk was possible for killing a cop when i see it all the time

- Initiating a shootout or violent confrontation with Police can lead to a PK. Killing or attacking an Officer after initiating a violent confrontation leaves you PK active from officers for about 15 minutes. Generally we want people to not immediately go for the gun when dealing with Police, as a result if you escalate a situation to a shootout and lose you can be punished via PK as your character was killed.
This is to induce a sense of realism regarding things like Police interactions and Fear RP on the server. Many other servers simply ban players for 'failrp' or 'breaking fearrp' whereas on Diverge we've created a game mechanic regarding the risk and reward of doing risky actions like killing cops or pulling out a gun while having one pointed at you. If you are successful in killing the officer or your assailant and escape then you get out of the situation scot free without the fear of being banned. However, this is balanced with the risk ok a PK. Where if in that situation you fail and are killed it means a permanent death for your character. So you are calculating risk and reward as well as choosing the best moment to strike, if you decide to.

so in simple terms that character is just screwed but if i killed them i wouldnt of had to worry clearly i had no idea that rule was a thing in that case i would have approached a smart way not like how the clip was clearly not supposed to turn into that but it was that or be pk'd if i had gotten searched but am i not getting unpk'd like im confused
