Streamer Friendly? - RukoOG - 03-02-2024
Hi my name is Ruko I am a content creator and streamer.. I am looking to start streaming on this server but worry about slurs or hate speech I might encounter that could get me banned on my live streaming websites. I think it would be a great opportunity for discoverability for the server and me because I take stream highlights and make shorts and tiktoks out of them. But just like anything I know there are trolls and can only assume that once people find out I am live they will follow me around trying to slip in any racial slur or slur they can think of. I get it is 1980s roleplay but not having a rule about it really doesn't do the server any good in my opinion and one little added rule could boost the server population to new average numbers. I just ask for a serious consideration on what I am saying because I played a little last night and it seemed like it had alot of good content opportunities.

Yes I understand that I am just asking for a reconsideration on adding some rules about it I think it could take the server to new heights on the side of business in my own experience never let personal ideas or how you feel interfere with business I see the servers who do enforce it usually have around a 100 player count consistently and it could bring a lot more revenue into the server if more content creators feel safe playing on it

You're confusing free speech for hate speech. The server does not promote or endorse violent hate speech or the incitement of violence in any capacity as prohibited by the rules and terms of service outlined by the games developers / publishers.
The server does have free speech to allow for the ability of persons to RP how they like and this sometime can include slurs. Regardless the server isnt here to cater to content creation. You have the option to simply not broadcast yourself playing or not play at all.
The server population is fine and the server will often max out. Limiting the amount of people who can play by banning forms of speech would likely have the opposite of your intended effect.
Tl;dr its the internet dawg

Cry about it. It’s been like this for years and it’s not changing. Don’t like it, you don’t have to play here and you can go somewhere else. Those servers moderate the words that their player’s say, but they don’t moderate the people that they try to protect and allow anyone in, which can causes issues. MafiaRP is for people who are mentally capable of using the internet and interacting with people on the internet, which is why free speech is fully allowed and not restricted. If you can’t handle it, you can’t handle the server, and you clearly can’t handle the internet.

not a good idea tbh, just enjoy the server yourself or try your best to make videos instead of streams and have fun editing
and for the "change this rule", thats not gonna happen for a single person who wants to stream.
or just be like me where twitch doesn't strike or ban you for n words on stream but instead they just delete your clips and playbacks (i have affiliate/sub button)
