After working as a corporate lawyer for many years in many different states, he finally decided to open his own business. Having come up with the idea during a civil case against a mining company operating in Antarctica, Silver decided to call the company – Antarctic Incorporated – a subtle nod to his last case as a corporate lawyer. The year now being 1985, Adrian, with the help of his close colleague Antonio Valvaldi, created Antarctic Inc as an official corporation business within the State. New York City was the best place to set up – the concrete jungle where dreams were made of. Many market opportunities were immediately identified - many companies were struggling with legislation imposed by the city and the state, as well as economic crises in different districts. There was a clear lack of accounting and finance knowledge, which was precisely what Antarctic Inc was ready for. Our Goal: Our main goal is to help businesses adjust to the ever changing economic landscapes of the server while expanding and creating many different opportunities in legal and financial roleplay. Company Services: Stock Trading Platform We were the first group to create a realistic stock trading platform in the server with one goal in mind -- letting players invest their money into shares to gain a steady profit over time. We currently offer 48 real life companies for players to invest in. All of these companies have existed in 1984 (when the server launched) and were public on the New York Stock Exchange. The decision to only list companies that have fulfilled these two criteria is to make sure the immersion and time accuracy is achieved. Depending on what the player base wants, we can also list companies that existed way later (not in the 1984-5 time period). All prices are sourced directly from Google with a ~20 minute time delay, during real life trading hours. Players can keep up with the news and research the best stocks to buy. We also offer a 15 day trend list so players can see how a certain company has performed over a 15 day period to help them make the most informed decision. Players can be kept up-to-date with their shares on our Investment Tracking Spreadsheet. If a player wants to withdraw their shares, all they need to do is find us in-game or to make a ticket on our office discord. (Discord is preferred so we can keep a record of all trades). Financial Accounting Services We also offer accounting services to make life a lot more easier. We enjoy diving into paperwork, spreadsheets, and documents so that you don't need to. All our accounting services are confidential, so you don't need to worry about anything leaking out. We offer: Managing employee payroll systems (which will become a lot easier with the upcoming Cheque System) Creating and filing corporate tax returns (in compliance with state legislation) Offering financial management on revenue streams Performing risk assessments & analysis on investments and incomes Providing financial reports of profits & expenses to help your business improve into the future Creating loan and bond contracts Creating and sending invoices to bill your clients and customers (to maintain legal records) Creating lease agreements to sell your property more efficiently Providing advise on your business structure & management Lawfully reducing the amount of tax you pay! This allows us to divide employees into different teams with their own leader, while management maintains a supervisory role over the entire business. Not all of these positions are filled, but it is what we intend to have. President -- The executive leader of the entire company. Vice President -- The second-in-command of the company who coordinates with marketing teams and business partners. Supervisory Manager -- The manager who oversees the day-to-day functioning of the company across both teams.
