In the immortalized Mafia movie, Goodfellas, the main character, Henry Hill, works for Paulie Cicero, a caporegime of the Neapolitan Camorra in none other than good ol’ Brooklyn. What does Paulie’s crew due for their primary source of illicit income? They rob trucks. At the Community Assembly almost a month ago, Pendred brought up the existence of a crafting system that was in the works but had the obstacle of implementation. These crafting materials, once obtained, could be used to craft expensive things like guns, etc.

For a while, people have been clamoring for a new racket. How about the implementation of a new crafting system, one which Pendred admits has already been in the works, a new racket, and the opening of new possibilities? My recommendation: make Speedy Delivery LTD a new legal business/racket/faction/whatever that makes deliveries of these materials like the regular one but make the materials available to be stolen by factions, which then can be used to craft said guns, materials, etc. The materials could be offered for higher prices at an NPC that’s always available in a certain vacant shop or something of the like, making it so a potential workshop doesn’t shut down because no delivery people are on while making illicit means of procuring the materials (armed robbery) would increase profit margins for crime factions.

Main point over. While the suggestion isn’t an end-all-be-all, I think it has a lot of potential, and that’s what matters. A new legal racket to contest oil? Check. A new way for legal and criminal RP to mix and mingle? Check. A new way to make AND spend money? Check. An active way to make more money as a criminal that’s authentic to how the real mafia made money? Check and check. I think this incorporates a lot, but it doesn’t seem far-fetched and could be the kick in the butt Miami needs. (Please bro I wanna play on Miami).

Let me know what you think about this idea and any additions/reworks/balances you would make to it, please. Smile
Also, aside idea/note, you could also make a chop shop/scrapyard racket that gives you some materials for cars that you bring for scrap but would need to be balanced along with the rest of this theoretical material/racket overhaul.

I think the general idea is good. But i think people would start exploting this system as soon as it´s relased

For example going on an alt account and not defending their shipment

A rework for the deliveries is needed but this just wouldn´t work.

Maybe make the possibility of ordering a shipment dependent on if someone delivers to your store. So you take the possibility of the robberies away but you give the speedy delivery faciton a purpose.

If no shipments get delivered to you then your material count decreases and you wont be able to order anything anymore.

While a redesign was written for the job and will possibly be done in the future these suggestions were not considered.
