Organization Backstory: The Jade Snake Triad originated in Manhattan, NY as a means for the Chinese ABC (American-born Chinese) youth to protect themselves from Latino, Black, and other Asian gangs in the area that threatened their livelihoods. The group started out as a simple squad of teens aged 13-16, however soon evolved into a criminal organization as the members matured and started partaking in petty crimes such as theft, counterfeiting, and small-time burglary. It wasn't until the oldest member, Xiang-Fei Zhao, made connections with the 14K Triad of Hong Kong and a fellow Chinese-American Triad known as the Hip Sing Tong that things picked up. After these connections were made, Xiang-Fei started getting an influx of Methamphetamines from China and Hong Kong, along with heavy shipments of counterfeit goods (including jewelry, designer clothing, money, and VHS tapes). With his newly started business, he got the younger members involved and business started booming within their circle, they picked up on the smuggling of Chinese immigrants to America somewhere in between and began making large amounts of money every week. Things went smooth until one of the co-founding members, Sheng Tsong decided to betray the organization and help out a rival group. This incited a war between the two factions in the city of Manhattan, leaving multiple members of both organizations dead. Eventually, the Jade Snakes came out victorious, but with many of their operations crippled and halted with nobody to oversee them. Seeing his hard work ruined, Xiang-Fei Zhao made the decision to migrate his group of criminals to the city of Southside to find a fresh start in building their enterprises once more.
