Long Answer
What is your motivation/reason for applying?:
I enjoy spending my time on Diverge and I would now like to contribute and give back to the server. There is oftentimes when staff are needed but none are available, and so I think I can help to reduce this by an amount that will hopefully better the community. I have spent a long time on the server and I am well experienced in how staff affects RP and how a lack of staff can really take away from RP.
Recently there has been a lot of staff being brought in and I have seen this as an opportunity the better the community and offer help to those that need it during their time on the server. I would like to apply so that I have something else to do during my time on the server and make the most of the time that I am not using for RP. Recently I have gained some extra time to spend around the server and becoming staff feels like the best option to dedicate this time towards.
Why should you be considered over other candidates?:
I have no real problems with anyone on the server and so I think I can help as a staff member. I believe that I would make a good staff member with my previous experience. I am familiar with the rules and how they take a toll on RP, helping to control these better makes it an overall better experience for anyone playing. I am an unbiased person and I have no problem with moderating rules fairly and keeping it just.
I’m also empathetic towards people and I think that this is a really important quality to have as a staff member, I can take the time to understand someone’s point of view and see a situation through their eyes, helping me to make a fair and honest judgement. I have good management skills that stem from the RP roles I do and this would help me be on a better level within the staff team.
Do you have any previous staffing experience?:
I have a small amount of staff experience from playing other games such as FiveM. The servers I played on were quite small and there weren’t many places being a moderator could take me, but despite this, I did put a lot of time into it.
Have you been banned before on any of our servers? If so, why?:
I have been banned for LTAP once but this occurred over 7 months ago. As well as a metagame and RDM warning, but these too were 7 months ago. Since then I have not had any problems with the rules or staff.
Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?:
During my time on the server, I have spent most of my time quite close to the faction I mainly RP with. I haven’t had any negative interactions with people on the server and as far as I am aware people don’t have any problems with me. For the most part, I keep to myself and don’t seek trouble. The people I have met on the server I have only had good confrontations with and I am quite familiar with certain people in most factions, but I don’t tend to branch out to the whole faction or try to make myself known to them. I much prefer to stick to the people I know well or only branch out to a few people at a time. I don’t believe anyone would have anything bad to say about me.

Problem Solving
Detail step by step exactly the actions you would take.
Someone RDMs and you are currently off-duty. How do you handle this?:
If I had no RP involvement or connection to the situation I would swap to my staff on duty character and open the ticket. I will then teleport to the person to first check what they are doing so that I don’t bring them if they are still involved in RP. If they are not I will bring them to an OOC area and ask them about what happened from their point of view. I will then check the logs to see who killed them and bring them. Once I have done so, I will ask them why they killed the other person and listen to what they have to say. If they give a reason that leads to it being RDM then I will either warn or ban them depending on how they act and previous warnings. If their stories contradict then I will ask for one to supply a video. If none of them have a video and nothing can be proven, then I would have to dismiss the situation as I cannot warn someone off of mere hearsay.
You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?:
If they frequently abuse and it has an impact on RP, I will first ask them to stop as it is affecting RP negatively. If they ignore it and carry on then I will just get some evidence of it and pass it up to another staff member or staff manager that can deal with it.
A very good friend of yours joins the server. Over the course of an hour, you’ve received
multiple complaints about them not following rules, RDM’ing, and minging. How do you proceed knowing this can affect your friendship with them?:
I already play with my friends on the server and they never really cause OOC issues and it doesn’t impact others experiences. When I have played with them on FiveM I would occasionally have to mute them or something of the sort but it never changed our friendship, they know full well that if I didn’t do it then another staff member would and may also take it further depending on what they are doing. But if I wasn’t willing to deal with them just the same then I wouldn’t be applying for staff.
