Food RP Rework
For all players.


Food Spoilage:
  • Food in your inventory or item banks would spoil after a period of time after purchase, maybe 30 minutes or one hour (idea from ARK: Survival Evolved).
  • Food in a refrigerator for restaurants either: Won't spoil, or instead takes between 24-48 hours to spoil.
  • "Spoiled food" could become a crafting ingredient for a new drug racket down the line.
Roleplay Additions:
  • Makes it so people can't continue to horde cheap food in their inventories or item banks to substitute for proper roleplay.
  • Adds new crafting mechanics for new drug rackets.

Food Danger:
  • Eating raw food or food bought from hotdog vendors have a chance of applying a temporary debuff.
  • Debuffs could: either make you lose hunger faster, give you a low damage-over-time effect, or give you a drunkness effect (like with alcohol).
  • Consuming "Spoiled food" could add a similar debuff.
  • Eating cooked food from restaurants are much safer and do not give you any debuffs.
Roleplay Additions:
  • This would make people less reliant on buying & hording cheap food from hotdog vendors.
  • It would provide more opportunity and encourage players to participate in bar/restaurant roleplay, and actually make a viable need for them.

+1 I like this idea, I’ve seen lockers full of cooked food sit for weeks. Few use actual refrigeration as storage because there’s less space Available in them. Adding a game mechanic for food spoilage would change this. I do have a slight issue about food spoiling so fast in refrigeration though. Realistically it should be set to 5-7 days. The new food system can be a pain in the ass if people don’t want to RP the food delivery and the city hall area around some restaurants is a minge magnet in general, making it less pleasant to pick up food. Implementation of a food network, such as an actual distributor like the speedy delivery service would make more sense. Granted people can be whitelisted into it when needed and do the RP for it.

+1 - The food in the server always felt a bit lacking to me. Sure it served its purpose by filling up our hunger bar but it has the potential be a bit more interesting than it is now.

-1. I think people are already quite annoyed with the recent change of the food npcs and removals of Cash registers.

Notice how the whole restaurant experience has diminished since that change?

This would be yet another annoying and tedious step just to feed yourself.

-1 now with this new system of having no vendors if u own a restaurant and having to buy food of an NPC which is far away it,+plus food being able to spoil would fuck restaurants bars, etc even more than they already are and it would be a waste of money cause if u already have a stash of food for when u open ur restaurant and it just spoils out of nowhere it would be annoying and fuck the RP
