Reason for ban: FailRP
Length of ban: 3 days.
Reason for appeal (dispute/apology):
Both a dispute and an apology.
Why should you be unbanned?
First and foremost the reason I was pulled into a sit and banned was that, while I was being a little mingey, on my civilian character, I had run into a business and dropped a brick of cocaine on the floor, pulled a camera out, spammed pictures, and ran away.
I understand that what I did can be considered FailRP and that it was poor behavior and for that, I do apologize. It was a lapse in judgment and it was low-quality behavior. However, the reason Marzii had justified to me that a 3-day ban was necessary, despite this being my only real offense in over 4 weeks of server playtime, was that I had planted evidence without UA approval. And I would understand, but as I reviewed the rules, the server rules imply entirely that the rule mentioned in regards to planted evidence (which I had explained I had no intent to actually roleplay with, it was explained that I was just fucking about and that it wasn't at all intended to be used as evidence) is for PD/Government characters and more specifically relates to corruption roleplay. I understand what I did was wrong and attempted to apologize in the sit but I was told that it should be resolved in a ban appeal.
I don't know if I should be unbanned but I do believe that my ban length should be shortened. I've largely been a high-quality user on the server and have had very few issues with following the rules or abiding by staff judgment despite inconsistencies in my understanding of server rules at times. I attempted to explain that my conduct was not intentionally malicious with any intent for detriment to others and I believe, upon researching and reading through other ban appeals, seeing others who have appealed successfully despite having multiple prior offenses, with shorter ban lengths, that the punishment I've received is exaggerated in comparison.
