Clearance System

today's suggestion involves implementing a feature from Revenant Networks 

called the clearance system I think it could further enhance RP by possibly implementing the  the exact if not very similar system on diverge

I think if things like the nightclub as a possible place that would benefit from this for example keeping the lower ranks outside of the executive office

although I'm wondering if and how it would coincide with the current scripts for locking doors as to not affect the hotels and  the motels  and the ability to  rent a room  and add multiple different people or factions to one door

Do you mean they can’t unlock the door with their keys, or they can’t enter at all?

It would basically be like a clearance system for they keys so if u have rank 1 and the door is rank 5 so rank 1 can't unlock it and so on

There’s a reason why only Star Wars RPs and SCP RPs have clearances, because it’s developed into the franchise of that the RP is based off of. It does not for Mafia, therefore this is pointless.

I think if you downscale the idea to being different keys for different doors, like perhaps there's a skeleton key that upper ranks have that the lowers don't, it might fit a bit better and be somewhat interesting. But to be fair it would just be somewhat unnecessary little QOL features because you can keep one of your workers out of a room with a gun if it's really that important

Ok, so the issue is something another person brought up, StarWars RP has a clearance system because it is part of the RP. blocking off doors based on rank wouldn't really work because there are certain faction ranks that are not higher or lower than another rank, such as The Legal Team in certain factions. another issue is it would make ranking structures too complex. I personally disagree with this suggestion.
