Custom Car Issue

Myself and many others see an issue with the custom 2000s and 1990s era cars going around in the streets of 1980s New York. Its goofy and unrealistic. There should be constraints on what custom vehicles can be added. Anyone who has purchased an out of date custom car should have the ability for it to be swapped for a time period accurate one. We would think it would be common sense that cars not from the 1980s or earlier shouldn't be added.

Edit: If the server makes it to the 1990s then cars from that period would be acceptable but until then its dumb. Its 1987.

+1, it seems like common sense to not have these modern 2000+ cars in the 80's.

+1/-1 I completely understand your point here but you also have to put into consideration that these players are spending over $150 to get these custom cars added into the server just for them to have a 8/10 chance of being able to actually drive them without cars being deleted for stability.

If they want to drive around a 2010s suburban or 90s sport cars then they should do it in a server that's not set in the 1980s. Its that simple. If nothing is done agaisnt modern cars being added I will get a 2023 Tesla added and sell it to everyone for 1k each. If its really not that much of an issue.

You can either have this, which is at worst slightly immersion breaking and has no impact on gameplay and allows people to support the server, or we can add gameplay impacting features like permanent weapons.

This isn't exactly cheap to run and maintain, and the standard VIP just doesn't cut it anymore. The cars added are not insane, we have refused many absurd requests and will continue to do so.

It's no different from when people ran around with modern day designer PAC3s. I don't recall any complaints about "muh immersion" then.
