Why do you want to become staff?
I want to be staff because I want to help the creative community grow. I enjoy getting onto ManaCube and talking to my friends and helping new players get familiar with Creative. I love the ManaCube community and enjoy branching out and meeting new people throughout all of the different game modes. On top of having good communication skills I want to be able to expand my leadership skill and learn more about being a role model and a leader towards other players and people in general.
How long have you played on ManaCube?
I joined ManaCube in early 2019 and have over 1000 hours on Creative
How many hours a week can you dedicate to Manacube?
With school work and other activities, I find time to get on ManaCube and can dedicate around 25 hours, although I check in on mana quite frequently.
What skills do you feel you have that will help the server?
Communication - One of my main skills is being able to communicate with people and speak up when there is an issue. I as a person have been very talkative and never afraid to speak my mind. I enjoy meeting and talking to new people and helping them out with anything I can. From my good communication skills i've built up a skill in being a leader and taking over assignments and project I can during school.
Building - I currently have a C+ grade on creative and i'm working my way to a B. I enjoy building and like creating small projects and playing around with blocks. I have a good view in pallets since i've been taking art lesson since I was younger. I take any advice I can on my building and hope to grow as a builder.
Active - One more skill I feel i have is being active on the server. I am frequently checking in on ManaCube, even when I know I can't play for very long. Although i've been playing for about 2 years, I wasn't quite active until early to middle of 2020. Even since then I have been very active on the server and frequently getting online to communicate with my friends and the rest of the community. On top of being active on the server itself, I am also active on the forums and frequently check in and reply to threads. I feel i'm not as active on the ManaCube discord itself but I am familiar with it and know my way around Discord.
What experiences have you had which could help you as staff?
I don't have any other experiences as being a staff member but I have been playing on Creative servers for 7 or more years and i'm familiar with the rules and how things are run.
During a school project, I am usually the one to take charge when my group isn't working. I like to lead people and help them succeed while making sure the work is spread evenly.
What three attributes distinguish yourself from other players that qualify you to be a helper?
Understanding - I am a patient and understanding person. Before I suggest a solution to an issue I hear all the sides of an issue and suggest an according resolution. I'm not a person who would rush into something blindly without finding out some information for the future.
Social - I am a very social person as a previously mentioned and I enjoy meeting new people and helping them get familiar with the server. On top of being social I am familiar with the rules and help enforce the rules to players who aren't as familiar with them. I will explain to them the rule and explain why they can't say or do certain things. If the situation is severe I will report it to a mod or helper.
Easy to work with - I cooperate well with others and will do what i'm told to do. If i'm unsure how to complete a task I will ask for help or ask for an explanation. I do my part during projects and will give it my full effort.
Please explain what you believe the role of a staff member is.
I feel that the role of a staff member is to be welcoming and help new players feel welcomed. Another role of a staff member is to help enforce the rules so all players can enjoy playing Minecraft and be in a safe and supportive community. A staff member should be someone to turn to when there is an issue within the game wether it's a bug, conflict between people, or someone cheating.
