Police Officers should permanently learn a persons F3 Identity after logging an arrest on them with the Jailor NPC. Furthermore, Police should also remember someone's identity after viewing their Identification.

Reasoning
When Police have an interaction with someone that involves them needing to file paperwork, log reports, collect prints and finalize an arrest; it is very likely that the Officer would remember the name and be able to match it to the face of the person they have processed. Checking ID is a less memorable interaction, but should still allow the Officer to know the identity of the citizen for perhaps a few days (72hrs+).

Currently, identity can only be learned through the consent of a player to police. This is silly as a critical aspect of policing (and in this case police roleplay) is learning and remembering the identities of suspects in order to become a better officer. It adds an unnecessary layer of protection to criminals who should be afraid that if they commit silly crimes or act stupid in the street, a cop may learn of their identity.

We have all seen movies where a cop arrests and books a perp and they pretty much know the guy personally because they have been arrested so many times. Same goes with a Cop seeing someone back in the streets after they've been released and gives them shit telling them "you'll be back inside real soon BOUY".

I think it will add another layer of RP as described above. It is hard because players, even though they may dress a certain way for their character, can sometimes all have the same face and can change their clothes. Making it virtually impossible to identify someone that they have had an identifying memorable interaction with.

Thanks for the consideration.

I totally agree. +1 this, it is actually really important as that can facilitate our work and of course help with the Roleplay.

Not diametrically opposed to this. Been looking to integrate more natural methods of identity sharing and this one makes the most logical sense for Police RP.

The only counter to this is possible abuse but in any case where an officer is abusing the arrest system for F3s I.E. Powergame/metagame their character would be deleted.

-1 No, this would be severely abused. As of recent, cops have been reported to metagame the names of people based on their knowledge through discord, and because they work at a specific place run by a faction.

It's completely logical if you've viewed someones ID to then have their F3. You have their entire ID with their face and name.

This will be implemented. Adds more deterence to getting arrested or getting mugged.
