Although lobsters are there for the community to provide their personal views, opinions and inputs regarding new faction applications, the final decision to accept or deny ultimately lies with Management. Since all lobsters are linked to a steam account, they can easily check who belongs to which ocean.
When it comes to the lobster taking in those opinions, it's up to them to filter-feed through the genuine feedback and the biased comments made by others. Forcing people to reveal which factions their lobsters belong to takes away the freedom of providing opinions and having those opinions considered, if at all in the first place.
