Nah dude this is a pretty black and white rule there is no gray area. You were IC RP'ing in your business, it doesn't matter if someone could hear you or not, its pure meta game, knowing after the fact the characters didn't care if you freely gave up their info doesn't matter either. Even if it was an OOC situation rule 4 of character rules state you cannot use IC info in OOC scenarios and vice versa. Rule 1-2 in Metagamer rules: Do not speak of in game matters in OOC, do not use OOc terms in IC. Last part of rule 6 in the same situation, anything on mic is IC. Rule 7 use /looc when you need to speak of ooc matters in game, you did not do this. Which leads to rule 8, anything said in game is IC and must be treated as such. I as staff do not need to disclose the reason for overseeing the RP, like I have said I was acting on info that was passed on to me, it is your responsibility to abide by rules and in this scenario you did not. Again, it does not matter if it is only within your faction, it is still considered metagame.
