How much time can you realistically dedicate to moderating?: Being in very situational RP positions such as a Commissioner and a Lawyer, I will be able to dedicate more time to Moderating. Arguably the more important the position, the more your RP consists of events and meetings which opens up time for other things such as Moderating. I do have a shaky work schedule IRL due to shift-work and additionally, like everyone else, there are responsibilities and relationships that are more important, so I would be able to dedicate 6-12 hours a week with less or more depending on availability and outside commitments
Have you read the rules?: Yes.
Do you have a working microphone?: Yes.
Do you acknowledge that you must attend all staff meetings (Unless you have stated why you cannot beforehand): Yes.
Are you familiarized with SAM and/or Nutscript commands?: No.
Do you acknowledge that lying on this application will result in immediate denial and blacklisting from staff?: Yes.
-------------------------------------------------
What is your motivation/reason for applying?:
I am applying for staff as I believe I can contribute a significant amount to the moderation and administration of the server and the community. Being a prominent figure in RP has allowed me to meet and converse with various members of the community and led to me developing good relationships with all. Additionally, it has helped me meet new players daily. Having these relationships and contacts has allowed me to see and understand issues players have with RP, staff, and the community, issues that I can help solve if appointed. It has also led to me wanting to assist all the new players who simply want to have a good experience. I personally believe players that ruin RP, abuse other players, or act in a mingy or trolling manner don't understand how their actions may be affecting someone who is just trying to have a good time after an awful day at school or work. I want to have some ability to prevent such behavior and steer RP back on the right track.
Why should you be considered over other candidates?:
I have dedicated significant time to the community through PD management before I could even get into the server and earned the respect of many during this time. I believe it is uncommon to find a player who can, for example, get voted in as the Commissioner of a major faction without ever stepping foot on the server at the time. People viewed this as a weakness, but I view it as the greatest strength I can bring; now that I do actively play, imagine what I can achieve in this position and for the server if I could achieve everything else I aimed for without even needing to step foot in the city. I am exceptional with administrative work and assessing misconduct and rule breaks from merely my RP experiences in managing NYPD. I am very happy that I can now dedicate my time in-game and I know that these same strengths I had prior to playing; such as, building relationships, helping others, earning their respect, and assessing misconduct will result in a staff member who is efficient on the staff team whilst also increasing and maintaining the reputation of the Diverge team. Additionally, I have experience as discussed below.
Do you have any previous staffing experience?:
I staffed in a community called People of Gaming on their 1942RP, MafiaRP, and SovietRP servers for almost 2 Years sometime in roughly 2013-2015. I achieved a Senior Administrative position that required me to lead the staff team, ensure their efficiency and train new members.
Have you been banned before on any of our servers?: No
Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?:
I believe I am more well-known on the Gov't side of RP. Obviously, players who are in both Gov't and crime will know me but I don't particularly deal with players who are purely crime-based. But amongst those who do know me, they know me to be a decision-maker and a good manager. Many know me to be impartial in my decision-making, with even needing to remove personal friends of mine from PD in the past. I believe people know that I am open to suggestions and will happily implement and take into account wise council. However, people also know me as someone who has a limit to my toleration of insubordination, misconduct, or unnecessary aggressive behavior. As I said previously, everyone that plays is just trying to have a good time and I will ensure those who wish to act in a stupid manner either fix their behavior or get removed from the experience. People know I believe in second chances and that people can overcome the labels others may place on them, but if they abuse the mercy I give and lie to me or continue to break rules, etc. I will not be as merciful the second time around.
Have any staff members recommended you? If so, list their names: Baldrick, Hue, and Pendred.

Problem Solving
Someone RDMs and you are currently off-duty. How do you handle this?:
I would approach this in a few ways depending on the circumstance. If I am in the middle of an important RP situation with others, to continue the flow of RP and not ruin others' experience, I would attempt to speak in staff chat to organize someone else to take the ticket. If no one is available but me, I would then leave the RP situation to handle the ticket. I would pull both members to a staff sit to explain both sides of the story whilst I simultaneously look at any necessary logs to assist in my judgment. If there is a ban-time guide I would follow this but if the offender was apologetic and remorseful I would likely give him a warning. If he has past offenses or clearly did it with malicious intent I would likely ban them for a specific amount of time.
You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?:
I would first speak to them on early occurrences and tell them that they shouldn't be behaving like this. I think it would be wrong to record them without first at least speaking to them and telling them they should stop their behavior. But, if their behavior is consistent after a conversation, or if I believe they are not an approachable member/superior who wouldn't listen, I would simply supply video evidence in a report to upper administration to have them deal with it.
A very good friend of yours joins the server. Over the course of an hour, you’ve received multiple complaints about them not following rules, RDM’ing, and minging. How do you proceed knowing this can affect your friendship with them?:
I would first speak to them giving them a warning, making it very clear I will punish them if they offend again. If it was too hard for me to do this, I would contact another staff member to deal with the situation to separate any underlying bias I may have. However, I believe I would be fine in punishing them myself after a warning. A warning to me acts as me placing the opportunity in their hands to improve and naturally removes any guilt or bias I may have had away from the situation. If they were a good friend they wouldn't put me in that position, to begin with.
Thanks for the consideration.
