In recent years, the organization has diversified its itinerary of crime for the sole purpose of survival after multiple crackdowns by both host countries and South-East Asian countries on the growing illicit industry of human smuggling. The group's eye has turned to the art of extortion under the guise of the typically clean Fukien American Association, a benevolent society for specifically Fukien Chinese-American citizens.
The group has dabbled in smuggling back and forth along Pacific South Express cargo transport route, committing customs fraud on a small scale to import fake Chinese cigarettes, Chinese oil products, industrial materials and cheaply made textiles to American while exporting stolen American goods (such as watches, handbags, and other luxury items), cars, and other sought after American goods to Chinese and Thai ports. Most recently, however, they have expanded to simple drug-dealing as a way to reach ends-meet.

Human Smuggling
The group has organized human smuggling for more than five years, its beginnings finding itself in the dawn of a diplomatic relationship between the People's Republic of China and the United States of America in 1981. Following the establishment of these relations, a mass immigration of Chinese nationals began to flood legal channels of entry into the United States, overwhelming the country entirely.
This reaching of capacity, as a consequence, opened opportunity for illegal channels of entry into the United States to flourish, creating the dynamic of Chinese human smuggling gangs that is known today.
There are numerous methods of human smuggling, which are often used in tangent with one another to facilitate journeys into the United States. The most recognizable strategy of Chinese human smugglers is the usage of fishing trawlers, cargo ships or freighters to smuggle people into the United States. Another, more indirect strategy is the transport of immigrants to either Mexico or Canada, depending on ease of access at the time, and illegally crossing the borders into the United States. Another, more expensive strategy is also employed to move people into the United States, by the use of forged or modified visas and passports, immigrants will fly into the United States via airlines.

Just minutes away from docks of New York, the populuce has seen a sharp increase of Chinese/Chinese-American residents and businesses, causing some to believe that another Asian community is growing in New York. In addition to this sudden concentration of said demographic, there has been a sudden spike in car thefts, opiate overdoses, aggravated assault, and prostitution.

If you are unfamiliar with Triad/Chinese oriented roleplay but are interested in joining nonetheless, it is highly advised you first dedicate some time into research in order to help develop your knowledge.
All novices are encouraged to go with American-born Chinese characters as opposed to a perhaps more difficult route by choosing foreign-born Chinese, as there are endless cultural differences between the two that can prove difficult and frustrating to roleplay. But by no means are we telling those interesting in joining what and what not to do.

"Similar to the Indian thuggees or the Japanese yakuza, triad members participate in initiation ceremonies. A typical ceremony takes place at an altar dedicated to Guan Yu, with incense and an animal sacrifice (usually a chicken, pig or goat). After drinking a mixture of wine and blood (from the animal or the candidate), the member passes beneath an arch of swords while reciting the triad's oaths. The paper on which the oaths are written will be burnt on the altar to confirm the member's obligation to perform his duties to the gods. Three fingers of the left hand are raised as a binding gesture. The triad initiate is required to adhere to 36 oaths."

We aim to portray a realistic depiction of not only our criminal elements of roleplay embedded into the faction, but also of a vibrant, culturally significant and alive community. Our members will primarily consist of American-born Chinese and also foreign-born Chinese.
