Organization Backstory (Min. of 150+ Words): Around 1946, Lucas and his two brother's parents immigrated to New York from Germany in hopes of a better future for them and their future children, to ditch the farm lifestyle and live a better life. After one year of being in the states, they had their first child, Lucas Myers, who had a rough come up. He was always in and out of houses, apartments, and schools because his father had struggled to keep a job. Sometimes, he didn't have food on his plate. He never had a "normal" childhood. Most of his early years were spent working to support his family.
Then, when Lucas was five, unexpectedly, the mother had found out she was pregnant with a set of twins, Joseph and Jacob. It was rough for the mother, she had worried that they would have to go through the same struggles they had to endure. From the day the twins were born, Lucas, even though being five, had taken care of the twins.
As the brothers grew up, Lucas had always watched out for his younger siblings. Even if it was as simple as getting a glass of water for them if they woke up thirsty. He had loved them, dearly. But, as the brothers got older, their situation with money didn't get any better. They were still struggling, even more now because they had an extra two mouths to feed. As soon as the twins were able to work, they had got jobs too. They all worked tirelessly to support their family, pay the bills, put food on the table, and make sure they were able to afford medicine if it was needed.
When Lucas had turned 14, he started running around with a group of boys his age, who would become his friends for life. They had taught him how to pickpocket, and how to shoplift. Now his main source of income was from stealing things and selling it. He had kept it a secret from his family, knowing that they would be disappointed in him for stealing. When Lucas turned 15, he dropped out of school, he had attempted to keep it a secret from his parents, but they had found out after a while. He now spent all of his time running around with his "crew" and stealing from small corner stores and pickpocketing, telling his parents that he was working at a post office and other odd jobs.
As the years went on, things didn't get any better. The family was still struggling with money, and everyone was doing their part to help out. But, as the years went on, Lucas had started to get into more illegal activities, dealing drugs like cocaine and crack. At this time, he was 17. He was working corners for The Carmellow Family. He was making a decent amount of money, even bringing home more money than his dad sometimes. He had realized his potential in drugs, deciding to start his own drug operation. He had made a contact within the Carmellow Family, who could sell him bricks of cocaine for a good price. He had hired his friends from his childhood to run drugs for him, he knew he had their loyalty, and they would never turn their backs on him.
During all of this, the Twins were working odd and ends jobs, while working a job at a local grocery store. They knew nothing about his brother's activities, Lucas had kept it a secret from them because he didn't want them to get in trouble with the police.
When the twins turned 17, Lucas had asked them if they wanted an opportunity to make some real money. Of course, they took up his offer. He explained that no one could find out and the consequences they would face if they were to get caught. Lucas had given them high positions within the group, making them his direct successors.
The business was booming, bringing home around $100,000 a month. They put their now elderly parents in an extravagant house in upstate New York, and paid off all of their debts. Everything was going great, but of course, nothing good stays forever. The Carmellow Family had picked up on Lucas's business, viewing him as a threat to their business. They had placed a $35,000 hit on Lucas. While the entire family was out for a nice dinner to celebrate their success, a black unmarked car had pulled by the restaurant, rolling down the window and fired off an entire clip from a MAC-10 into the restaurant window, killing four people, including Lucas, and injuring Joseph. Lucas had been hit three times in the chest, hitting vital organs. He had died right in front of his family, the people that he loved and cared for the most. And now, he was gone.
Less than twenty-four hours after Lucas's death, the twins had taken over the operation. They decided to keep the business going, for Lucas. The first thing they did as the head of the family was order the death of Martin Carmellow, the head of The Carmellow Family, and Lucas's old boss. About a week later, he was dead. For Lucas.
Under the twin's command, the family was doing better than ever, making around $575,000 a month, and moving around 300 Kilograms of cocaine a week. Everything was good again. They had opened up a restaurant in remembrance of Lucas, and of course, they had a drug operation going on in the basement.
