Reason for ban: Metagaming and RDM

Length of ban: 3 days

Reason for appeal (dispute/apology): I logged back in to the ban message, didnt get any context or anything like that so not sure how I am supposed to dispute the ban.

Why should you be unbanned? Since I dont know the context behind the ban I cant answer this, but once someone clarifies I am willing to explain whatever happened.

Hi. I'm the member of staff who banned you. I was sent a clip by someone which showed them responding to someone who was posing as an active threat to them. They killed said person and then almost an entire minute after killing that person, you pulled up to World Corp and killed the shooter. You weren't in the area so you obviously didn't witness them kill anybody, so the only way for you to have known where the shooter was and who he killed was by using information gained OOCly, most likely through Discord or some other method. That is why you were issued the ban.

I remember this scenario and it seems you banned me literally 10 mins after I logged off. I was actually in a car with the person he killed and watched him chase the guy from the motel through the alleyway to the world corp. I was still in the car and drove around the area until I saw him standing by himself with my friend nowhere to be seen. I guess you could make the argument that I couldnt know 100% that he killed my friend, but considering I watched my friend chase him, then drove after them and only saw one person in the immediate area, it was pretty obvious what happened.

I'm not sure, I just saw them talk at the motel and then the other guy started running away. You will have to ask the guy I was with not me.

qkrs can you clarify, did you witness your friend die at all.

From what It sounds like from your perspective you went to follow him and he was no where to be found and you assumed he was killed. How were you sure of this?

I mean my friend had his gun out when he was chasing so I knew he was chasing him for something serious, then he was magically gone when I drove to where they were headed, while the guy that was chased was chilling infront of the building like nothing happened. I can see how you would say its not enough to justify killing him but assuming I did it out of metagaming isnt really valid in my opinion.

At this moment I don't think there's 100% proof of metagame, giving you the benefit of the doubt since this is your first ban. However not being sure he was the correct person who killed your friend would constitute RDM, especially had it been the wrong guy.

In this case I will reduce the ban and remove the Metagame reason, however I will uphold the RDM ban.
