In the city of Segen-cho in the Yokohama Prefecture, Japan in 1914 a man named Kakuji Inagawa was born. Apart of a impoverished family he becomes a Yakuza gangster while a being a Judo student as a teenager. To then on join the Imperial Japanese Army's 29 Regiment during World War II. Later on after the war Kakuji meets a man by the name of Masajiro Tsuruoka who would mentor Kakuji. Kakuji would form a small gang to fight alongside Masajiro against the Chinese and Koreans in Yokahama. His gang would prove themselves with legendary ruthlessness and within a short time become a large and known gang.
The gang would grow significantly and even attract the attention of the American Occupation Authorities. The Inagawa-kai would engage in blackmail and intimidation, and other illegal activities. By the time of 1960 Kakuji would become a powerful Yakuza leader in Tokyo and his gangs influence would spread further across Japan. In a short time a man by the name of Akira Takada would be recognized as a influential figure within the organization, and would be made the leader of the Inagawa-kai's New York movement. Being trusted with the families name he would begin the gangs uprising within NYC. Conducting similar activities to that of the Inagawa-kai in Atami by committing many crimes in the city gaining massive attention. They would conduct large scale drug operation making them massive amount of revenue to fund there criminal organization. Although the story of Akira Takada would not be one of regular street thug but, rather a story of a man with the mind of great potential who chose a path that extorted his talents. Born in Tokyo around the early 40's he didn't have a education and would have a tough life of poverty. He would spend all his days working side jobs on the street anywhere he can find to make his family money to eat for the night. He was only 11 years old on the streets already doing labor for crumb's and watching his family struggle with him he couldn't bear the pain. At the age of 14 he began to rebel and realized he didn't not have any real career opportunities and, looked to the streets gangs for a opportunity to make money and feel accepted. When he had reached the age of 25 he was a high ranking and respected member that was always being recognized by his superiors of the Inagawa-kai. Years into his gang affiliation he was offered a position oversees to lead the Inagawa-kai's New York City movement and would accept. He would take a handful of his most trusted friends and associates and begin from the ground up in establishing his organization in New York.
The Inagawa-kai's NYC movement would follow the Yakuza hierarchy and follow the principals of the family. Akira would invest in several businesses and establishments to mask his criminal activities. He would also make many friends in the city to and make connections to advance his opportunities and further arrangements. More notably known for his fast car collection Akira like to show off around the city. Akira being made the leader would tell his fellow associates, "Our fundamental goal in this city would be to honor and continue this legacy with family name we were given."
