Born and raised under Southern English nobility, the twin brothers Marcus and Monty Grey lived a life of luxury where money was never an issue. The Grey Family owned lots of businesses, ranging from freight to retail, but also meddled with investing, particularly in new technology like the home computer. This wasn’t the only way the Grey’s made their money; they also dabbled in the less glamorous business ventures. The Grey Family came to prominence during the early 19th century thanks to their ancestor’s success in the export of opium to China which helped establish the family and grant them a place in British high society. Since then, the Grey’s haven’t been able to shake their narcotic past and still to this day produce the drugs necessary for the majority of the UK, as well as parts of Western European market.
Growing up during the war in an upper class family, the twins received military training and were deployed as Officers just after D-Day in western France, facing considerable conflicts and terrors as they marched closer to Berlin and witnessing the true horrors of war. After leaving the army in the post-war years, the brothers didn’t quite fit in with the family’s image and were much more interested in living in excess, partying on their yachts in Monaco rather than preparing to inherit their family’s business empire. All this came to an end in the late 70s, when the twins’ misbehaviour got them involved in a rival family’s affair which, after an armed confrontation and thanks to their joint military experience, led to the killing of 5 key figures within the opposing family, including the second heir to their fortune. To avoid a war between the families, the brother’s father, Sir Barnaby Grey, had no choice but to disinherit them and send them to New York City to live the rest of their days.
Arriving with only the suit on their back and the change in their pockets, the twins were in a dire situation. After many arduous months of scraping the barrel to make a living, the brothers truly began their new journey. Realising the foolishness of the ‘uncivilized’ Americans, the Greys were able to trick their way up the social ladder through a surplus of deception and plenty of bottomless promises, as well as new business ventures to cover their tracks. Now in present day NYC, they’ve made a living peddling drugs using their charming British charisma to appeal to businessmen and gangsters alike. They’ve also started a small-time Hitman ring with a few employees to remove those others believe to be unworthy to society. But the Greys don’t do this for money… They do it for fun.
