Backstory

If you're a criminal, and you're in need of some help from the law but no lawyer is there to help you, Goldberg & Goldberg Solutions is here to offer you a helping hand.
Founded by brothers Shlomo and Ezekiel Goldberg in 1951, this firm initially started off as a small legal advice firm in London, UK. Shlomo and Sarah were refugees who fled Berlin, Germany in 1935 as tensions began to rise over the establishment of the Nazi Regime. The couple founded their small establishment in Vauxhall, London, where they practiced law and offered their advice to fellow fleeing Jews. Business was rather slow, however, as more Jews fled to the United States and, as a result, the Goldbergs decided to relocate to the United States. Shlomo and Ezekiel were old, however, and didn't manage to move over, deciding to stay in London instead.
Instead, their children moved to the United States instead. Jebediah, Son of Ezekiel, and Ofra, Daughter of Shlomo - the duo moved to New York City with their families, settling there in hopes of finding a better future. To their surprise, their legal firm took off and became bigger than they had expected, turning into a general consulting firm that offered people various types of advice for various kinds of prices. Jebediah oversaw the legal side of things, whilst Ofra took on the investigation and managing elements. Her husband, Abraham and their son worked at the firm too, helping out with outsourcing and operational sides of things.
One day, however, things changed. It was the 12th October 1981, and it was just another business day. As Abraham sat at his desk, sorting through some paperwork, a man burst into the office with a gun, killing Abraham. After the Goldbergs buried Abraham's body, they found a series of links that traced Abraham all the way to a great crime network headed by the Von Aachen Family - an organisation in Berlin that was responsible for the death of Abraham. With Ofra now left in charge, the Goldbergs decided to change their means of life - though they wouldn't commit crimes themselves, being faithful Jews, they would attach themselves to this criminal network as consultants, offering their services and support to criminals, whilst also conducting their own investigation into who these Von Aachens were, and where can they be found.
