The Riverside Boys are a street gang hailing back to the civil rights era coming out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Beginning as a more extreme schism of the black panthers, they eventually conglomerated with the local Irish community, who were all too historically familiar with American oppression. Despite starting with noble intentions, once the end of the Civil Rights era rolled around, many higher ups within the group realized they could use their platform for more malicious purposes. And so, the once well wishing, albeit extreme faction grew into a far more malicious, self-serving enterprise. Now in the year 1985, with race relations still faltering heavily, they've decided to expand into the streets of New York to spread their message and take what's theirs. The Riverside Boys are a close family that only seek out the best of the best. They're known for staging themselves as Civil Rights activists while lining their pockets with the profits from a string of drug deals and B&Es. The Riverside Boys image themselves as much more than just a gang with members who treat each other more like kin than business partners. The Riverside Boys make sure to look after their own at all costs. The Riverside Boys have what they like to think is the holy trinity in what a Street Gang should be. Trust, Loyalty, and Respect. That is, of course, as long as everyone gets their piece of the pie and it isn’t too small. They like to keep each little piece of the machine maintained individually so that the gears run smoothly and nothing is stretched out too thin. TRB started as a couple of lost souls who fought for justice, and they flourished into something stronger, something darker, something deadlier.
