Organization Backstory (Min. of 250+ Words & any images): Way back when, in the early 1960's, a young Hispanic lad by the name of Mal O' was an Underboss in a faction by the name of Jaggernath. Now this wasn't some ordinary faction, this faction was on the road to success with just about everything going their way. Mal O' had a beautiful lass by the name of Maria Bianco. They were engaged and were happily on their way to marriage when a pregnancy test came back positive for Maria. The family was in shambles, how could they raise a child in such a terrible environment. Maria tried and tried at Mal to quit the mafia but there was no possibility in sight. A year passes and with that comes the birth of Baby Giorno O'. Giorno was a stubborn baby, didn't get along with other kids, he didn't enjoy school, or toys or any other thing a child would like. When Giorno became 2 years old, pressure started surrounding the Jaggernath Crime Family, and Mal was thrown right in the thick of it. The rough Russian mafia by the name of Solinsky Bratvas were pushing at the Jaggernaths to fall under their lead but the Jaggernath's were not having it. Mal had no more time for Maria, he spent his days and nights constantly fighting and defending the family and during this Maria fell out of love with Mal and Fell into love with a young handsome man by the name of Jack Heo. Jack was also apart of this faction, he was but a mere soldier but Maria fell head over heels for him.
In 1964, Jack Heo and Maria conceived another child and at this point it was Obvious to Mal what was going on. Mal confronted Maria about all of this and she begged him not to harm Jack. Mal slapped Maria and left with nothing but his suit and his Snub nose Revolver. Later that night, Mal found Jack at a local bar outside of the PD, Mal pointed the gun at the back of Jack's head and said "walk". Mal then brought Jack to an alleyway near the Pawnshop next to the bar and said "Any final words". Before Jack could even open his mouth 7 of the Bratvas men came out with heavy artillery and moved in on the two men. They knocked out the two men and dragged them to a secluded area where they brutally tortured them and beat them. After hours of gory torture Jack Heo begged for his life, in response, the leader of the Bratva family pulled off his mask and said these words before ending them both with a gun shot "You are no longer a man". The two bodies were left in that secluded area and are rumored to still be there, feeding maggots and travelling rats. A year later, Maria gave birth to the son of Jack Heo, Vito Heo. During the birth, Maria passed from the amount of stress and pain she was under, this left both Vito and Giorno homeless orphans who were kicked out of the hospital and left on the street.
Fast forward 10 years, Giorno and Vito are now 10 and 13 years old. Giorno acquired a job as a paper boy while Vito spent his days, laying under a over pass, playing with his cheap wooden toys. Vito was a very intelligent young boy who, despite his age, was able to pick pocket off of wandering drunken men at night. These two boys have survived year after year using only the kind offerings of passing strangers and the wits of their two heads combined. One night, a very cold and foggy night, Vito found his next victim, a shit faced tall man in what seemed like a fancy suit. The man stumbled and groaned under the over pass until eventually he collapsed and seemed to have passed out. Vito and Giorno slowly crept up to the man during his slumber and reached for his pockets. All of the sudden, Vito steps on a broken piece of glass and exclaims a noise of sheer pain. The man awoke and turned to the boys, realizing what they were doing, he reached for his gun, Giorno grabbed the glass from Vito’s foot and threw it at the eyes of the man and reached to hit the gun out of his hand. The gun slide down the slope of the road, Giorno started sprinting towards the gun with the man not too far behind him. Vito, with all of his strength, stabbed the remaining piece of glass into the calf of the man, he turned and grabbed Vito by the neck and held him down while sending blows of fury at his face. Giorno heard the cries of his young brother and became filled with rage. He reached for the gun and aimed it at the man. Without hesitation, Giorno emptied the clip into the back of the man’s head. Giorno fainted from the shock and both boys slept like rocks that night. They woke up the next day in a hospital with police circling them in their beds. The police questioned the boys and decided that they could no longer live on the streets. The chief of police offered them a opportunity, join the police force as youth cadets and they will be able to sleep in a room in the precinct, provided with food and water. The boys nodded and from that day forth they became the new young face of the New York Police Department.
Fast forward 6 years, Giorno now 19 and Vito 16. They turned out to be strong and determined young officers. Giorno reached the rank of Senior officer while Vito was an ordinary officer. One night, on a patrol, Giorno and Vito came across an alleyway that just didn’t sit right with them. They walked in, both armored to their teeth and strapped with carbines and shotguns, and they had a cold sense of fear surrounding them. They went further and further into this dark gloomy alleyway that seemed to be endless. That was until they came across an old sewer drain. They were fascinated that this hadn’t been removed due to how rusty and filthy the lid was. They used a knife to cut around the edges of the lid, removing the rust, and freeing the sewer to open. Once they opened the sewer lid, they noticed a rope attached to the hook underneath the rim. Giorno reached for the rope and pulled it up. At the end of this rope, was an old rusted over snub nose revolver. Vito exclaimed “must’ve been from an old murder case” but Giorno felt some sort of attachment to that gun. The next morning, the two men handed the gun to the chief of police. The chief stared with a sense of fear and disbelief. That day, Giorno learned about his father from the chief of police. He learned about the Jaggernath family and his fathers involvement in it. That exact morning, Giorno went off to find the old don of Jaggernath to question him. The don, also known as Luciano Jaggernath, was now enjoying his final years in a summer home in the beautiful city of Miami. After a long plane trip, Giorno finally arrived at his house. Outside, Giorno stood staring at the door. He exclaimed “I believe this is the address the chief gave me” and after a bit of courage building, he knocked on the door. After a few minutes, the door opened and out came a tall brawny old man, the man said “who are you and what do you want” Giorno said, “I believe you knew my father'' while waving a picture of Mal in front of Luciano’s face. Luciano grew a smile and said “is that you.. Giorno” Luciano warmly invited Giorno in and they both sat on the couch and talked for hours. Giorno learned of his mother and the affair Maria had with the father of Vito. Giorno was filled with so many different emotions, rage, fear, sadness, he couldn’t be clear on how he felt. But one thing was for certain, he knew that he had to pick up his fathers legacy and live the mafia life. Giorno took Luciano and all of his belongings with him, not before gassing and lighting his house on fire to remove any evidence of him being there.
On the plane trip back, Giorno thought of ways to convince his half brother, Vito, to join him and create a new family. After the plane landed, Luciano took in a deep breath of relief as he reminisced on the times he shared with the beautiful city of New York. Vito was waiting at the airport in his purple Dodge Challenger for the two men to arrive. Vito stepped out of the car and shook the hand of Luciano. Luciano got a cold feeling when touching Vito, he felt a feeling of despair. The three men entered the Vehicle and went back to their apartment in downtown New York city. Once they arrived, Giorno took Vito into his bedroom and had a long thorough talk with him. He explained what and who their fathers were. He talked about the night when they both were killed. Vito and Giorno only knew one thing in life, and that was to hustle. With this in mind, Vito agreed, and the two men were set on continuing the legacy of the Jaggernath, now under a new name, The Exodus Crime Family.
About a year later, a southern man stepped up to Giorno’s and Vito’s residence and claimed he had known and served for Giorno's father. This man was Jim O’ Depp, Jim was never given a middle name growing up, so he decided to change it to remember Mal O’ after he had passed. Giorno let him inside and they discussed terms for a while. Jim was a well presented man who was anything but a slacker. Giorno and Vito talked and poked and tested Jim and by the evening, they had decided he would be the best man for the job. Jim left that night and on his way home, a group of men started trailing him. He realized this and gripped his gun while speeding up. But when he turned the corner, 3 men with AR-15’s aimed at him and the men behind him covered his head. For the next week, Giorno had not heard from Jim and assumed his involvement attempt was merely a set up, just as he was about to act on this, he got a knock on the door. Giorno grabbed his fathers snub nose and walked towards the door. Upon peeking through the peephole, he saw a box. Giorno opens the door and quickly grabs the box while looking down each hallway of the apartment complex. Giorno opened the box and saw a bunch of tapes and an envelope. The tapes consisted of videos of Jim being tortured and beaten. Jim had been kidnapped by the remainder of the bratvas. Inside the envelope was a letter stating these exact words “Jim will be executed on Friday if we do not receive 50,000$ by the end of today. We will get revenge for our brother that you murdered 11 years ago” Giorno remembered the man from under the bridge, he remembered that he had Russian sounding accent. Giorno grew cold, Vito approached Giorno and with a confusing voice asked “who was that”. Giorno turned to Vito with a devious look and said “get your strap, we are going to save Jim”.
Vito and Giorno hopped into Vito’s challenger and sped through town to the address that was left on the envelope. Once they had arrived, there were armed men outside of the building. The two brothers walked up to the building, Just before they entered the two armed guards made an X with their guns and blocked the door, they asked that the brothers leave their guns outside as this was a peaceful meeting. Giorno yelled “Fuck you I'm bringing my gun” while Vito calmed him down and insisted that he leave his gun. Giorno calmed and agreed, the two brothers entered the house, it was a cold dark house with a long stairway in the middle. This stairway looked like it led to hell, it was a dark wooden creaky endless path. At the end of the stairs stood a door with a creak in it, this freak allowed the smallest bit of light to exit and so the brothers approached that door. Inside the room were 8 to 9 armed men all covered in balaclavas. In the middle of the room was an exhausted , beaten and bruised Jim dripping with blood and sweat. Jim looked up and smiled for the first time in a week at the sight of brothers. One of the men hit Jim with the butt of his rifle and Giorno rushed at him, Vito following from behind when all the men focused their guns at the brothers. The brothers stopped and put their hands up. The men looked at each other and then at the man directly behind Jim. He whistled and all the men took off their masks and revealed their faces. They all were blonde with ugly angry looking faces. The man behind Jim lifted his mask and revealed himself, The brothers eyes became wide as they saw who was standing in front of them, It was Luciano Jaggernath. Luciano grinned and showed his golden teeth. Vito exclaimed “You son of a bitch” Luciano said back “I’d watch my words if I were you”. Luciano then explained the true story of the downfall of Mal O’. “Mal.. was.. well powerful to say the least. No one had respect for me anymore, everyone looked up to Mal. They tried to push me out, they tried to push Mal in and my family is my family, it didn’t and doesn’t belong to the scum that was your father. So one day, I devised a plan.. I convinced Maria that Mal was cheating on her and I convinced Jack that Maria loved him. I pushed them together to ruin Mal. Although Mal was strong willed, he had a dark side of anger which was undeniably strong. I waited until the day Mal finally snapped and used it to take him out”. Both the brothers were destroyed. Vito realized his birth was an act of revenge and nothing else. Vito had finally snapped and pulled out his concealed pistol hidden in his back pocket and shot straight through the head of Luciano. While Giorno ran at one of the men grabbing his gun and using his body as a defense from the hell rain of bullets being sent at him. Once the men were all reloading Giorno fired at all of them and killed them all with a single clip. The thunder of running footsteps came shooting down the stairway, Vito cut Jim free and they all grabbed weapons and hid behind the corpses of the men. Many shots were fired that night, the bratvas pushed the three men into a corner that seemed impossible to get out of. When all of the sudden the gun shots came to an end. The three men looked at each other, each covered in blood from several different bodies. After a bit of hesitation they all decided to peak over the hill of corpses, a group of 15 men all dressed in classic fancy Italian suits strapped with galils and carbines stood there smiling back at the 3 men. Vito looked down and saw that the remaining bratvas had been shot and killed. Jim laughed and laughed while the two brothers stared at him shocked. The man in the middle of the soldiers who entered the house said in a rich foreign accent “Witam, brothers, we used to work for your father, Mal, he was a great man and when we heard you were taking over for him, we came running.” They all greeted each other and left the old house. Years later, the setting is now in 1986, The Exodus Crime Family has finally been formed. With Giorno and Vito leading it. The brothers promoted Jim to Underboss and with the Bratvas finally eliminated, things took a turn for the better. This is the beginning of something truly beautiful.
