The Medellín Cartel was founded in Medellin, Antioquia, Colombia in 1976. It has expanded operations across South
and Central America, including the United States in cities such as Los Angeles and Miami.
Its main leaders are
Pablo Escobar, Gustavo Gaviria, Carlos Lehder, Gonzalo Rodriguez gacha and the Fabio brothers,
Juan David and Jorge Luis Ochoa. None of these men will be seen in New York City.
Carlos Lehder set a good example of flying cocaine into Miami and forming his system of distribution by force.
Today January 24th 1985 the duo of Jose Salazar and Manuel Antonio were sent by Pablo Escobar to fly cocaine into
New York City, recruit men and expand operations to make a foothold in Brooklyn. So far they have been successful
and have gotten accustomed to how Brooklyns underground world works. They've found that it's more structured
and have found a balance of how to remain out of the spotlight, avoiding the police and other mobs
while importing cocaine by the ton. To launder their money they create music and run the most popular nightclub
in Brooklyn. For fun and recruiting strategy they host bareknuckle boxing matches, and rap battles with a reward.

+1 It's the 1980s, the war on drugs is in full effect, and most of the people shepherding this drug trade are foreign cartels. However, since we are located in New York, I think it'd be better if it were the Cali Cartel, as it'd be more historically accurate (that is, if we don't already have the Cali Cartel).
