Thank you for providing me with your perspective.
When I initially made contact with the individual reporting you, I found you as the culprit for the alleged RDM. After further investigation as well as you admitting you killed him over a verbal argument I deemed that a rule break had occurred. I then proceeded to check your record and found a previous 3-hour RDM ban as well as a somewhat recent note for RDM as well (06/23/2023). Although you explained to me that you did not fully understand the rule, it is not an excuse to break a rule you have received punishment for in the past. You should have done your due diligence and not have broken the rule. I believe that a 24-hour ban was low enough and reasonable enough to be the punishment for this situation.
