Reduce the amount of police. There are times when there are 25+ officers on at one time, yet the prison is almost always empty, its pretty apparent that they do not do their jobs correctly and many altercations with police just end with the suspect being wrongly killed. They have no regard for the constitution (you cannot search someone for speeding) The police force needs to be vetted and all shitty officers need to be purged.

+100, I have no qualms with police, but having half the server as officers just removes from the element of role play.

In Miami, there is 26 officers per 10,000 residents. That is about 3 officers per 1,000 residents, or about 0.3% of the population. When you consider the server’s average population is around 60/90 on a daily average, having 25 officers makes up 41% of the server population.

Not only is that egregious overpolicing, but not even Nazi Germany had that kind of rate of soldiers per civilians.

Police officers should be limited to a maximum of 10 slots, and anyone else should either learn to grasp civilian RP or just stop playing police all the time, or start filtering out the trash and only accept the most competent officers.

As it stands right now, this along with the near-tyrannical jail times for even minute offenses is just disgusting. It adds nothing to the server that is supposed to revolve around regular crime and violence, and it takes away from the aspect of being a mafioso if the cops are just a behemoth of incompetence and tyranny.

POINT 1. "Just do legal shit" Okay you can do "Legal shit" at first like get a job working as a barkeep, a guard, a cook, Etc. But when you look at it more broadly it's owned by the mafia, but you don't know this yet but OOC you know it's run by a mafia, plus Oil Company's haven't set up shop in Miami yet so "Just do legal shit" Makes sense but you will still deal with the police at some point.

POINT 2. The cops are just minges. Am not going to sugarcoat it I've been on Miami playing Mafia since it first launched back on the 18th and well the Pd started off okay...but then most NYPD officers transferred over to MPD and then the problems started for the past 3 days now. I've checked tab to see how many police are on/players etc, and have seen maybe 2 people in jail...MAX only 2 PEOPLE IN JAIL MAX and hell the MPD can't do they job right one time I had drugs on me signed a Plea deal and "Their taking my Permits away" but they never took my drugs off me, I haven't seen the plea deal at all, and they never took away my permits. Hell just last night I saw a MPD detective trying to taze a guy then 15 seconds later another Detective whips out his fucking S&W-27 Snub nose and domes the guy (Mind you the guy was unarmed btw) But hey that's life.

Why are they given so many advantages when this RP is supposed to be centered around the Mafia?

If those consequences are not a real threat, then mafiarp does not exist, it is simply team death match with passive money making on the side.

With civilians in the mix and savvy networks of criminals, the police should (and I think probably do) get a kinda rough time of things trying to track down whole operations, that's what makes up the core of the game play loop.
