Name of Character: Alec Fray
SteamID: STEAM_0:1:460651949
Date of PK: Roughly 20:00 [GMT] - 29/05/2022
Reason for PK: Breaking FearRP during a mugging.
Why should you be unPK'd?:
During a mugging which occurred inside the clothing store backroom my attacker said "HANDS FACE AWAY" and pulled out his weapon. Which isn't a very descriptive command. After turning away he stood right behind me and put his weapon away. I then pulled my weapon out and attempted to engage him. I quickly fell and died. Due to him putting his weapon away the fearRP in the situation should've become null and void as with the FearRP rule stating:
"If the person with the weapon puts it away or turns his line of sight (Meaning the user has turned completely away and is not even slightly facing you. Usually an angle of larger than 90 degrees), fearRP becomes null and you may take the window of opportunity to retaliate with little to no risk. (Does not apply if multiple weapons are pointed at you)"
He did not turn away but he did put his weapon away. The second person he was with was waiting outside so no one was inside the room beside him and me. At that point, neither of us had weapons out so no FearRP applied. Hence why I believe a PK for breaking FearRP during a mugging is invalid. If you want FearRP to apply throughout the whole encounter you should bring an additional person that can fulfil this. I am unsure if this guy uses that character as a mugging character or not but it seemed that way to me.
I would appreciate it if my character could have a second chance in hopes of this being cleared up completely. As the retroactive PK's area and FearRP rules do not seem to align in my opinion and it is not clarified what the little to no risks are in such rule. Are those risks nothing? Or do the risks just depend on who comes out alive? Either way, I would like for this to be clarified so I do not put my other characters into any similar risks and situations.
If possible please provide video evidence or photo evidence if PK does not follow the guidelines: N/A, my attacker streamed the video to staff in the support channel.
- Thanks, Bodges.
