"Bella ciao" (Italian pronunciation: [ˈbɛlla ˈtʃaːo]; "Goodbye beautiful") is an Italian protest folk song from the late 19th century, originally sung by the mondina workers in protest against the harsh working conditions in the paddy fields of Northern Italy.
It is widely assumed that the mondina song was modified and adopted as an anthem of the Italian resistance movement by the partisans who opposed nazism and fascism.
PS: I play this song whenever I see a mediaplayer, it's catchy, I watched money heist, fits faction/character lore, and is just a great song. It would be instantly recognizable 0.1 seconds into the song and would have the power to turn any car into a wop-mobile.
