Organization Backstory (Min. of 250+ Words & any images): During the 1980’s, the Miami riots started to occur. following the acquittal of four Dade County Public Safety Department officers in the death of Arthur McDuffie (December 3, 1946 – December 21, 1979), a black insurance salesman and United States Marine Corps lance corporal. McDuffie was beaten to death by four police officers after a traffic stop. After the officers were tried and acquitted on charges including manslaughter and evidence tampering, a riot broke out in the black neighborhoods of Overtown and Liberty City on the night of May 17. Riots continued, at the time none of the men knew each other, but the like minded men of future Lacerta Company were not having it. At the time most of the men were overseas fighting for their country hearing about one of their own being brutally beaten to death. This spurred the men to spring into action to do whatever they had to for leave and depart back home to the states to make amends.. One man under the alias of “Jericho”, a sergeant within the United States Marine Corps at the time serving in Vietnam, was selected for a PMC program to lead a hard lot of skilled men which allowed him to go where he needed to go. Jericho swiftly accepted the offer and took the earliest plane back to the states. On the plane to the states Jericho met some guys with connections which allowed him to make a move into drug trafficking, gun running, and most importantly contract killings. He soon after became so addicted to money and power that he took his private organization into a world of crime in the streets of the governments shadow…These men soon came to recruit other men of war spanning from every dark lurking shadow on the streets to take their organization where it needed to go. Jericho had these men running weaponry all over the Eastern shorelines making moves which would place him where he wanted. Over time Jericho introduced the men into the drug trade and took these men and taught them how to produce, cut down, and distribute drugs, this made Lacerta Company stick out like a sore thumb over time. Some of the mules left paper trails around the ports causing them to become prey in the tall grass. When the men were relaxing one night at the hideout, the ATF and DEA were preparing themselves outside in unmarked black vans loading weaponry and strapping on bullet proof vests getting ready to raid the place when one of the DEA carelessly slammed the van door and alerted the guard dog. An instantaneous collision of gunfire began, and the men of Lacerta told themselves they were not getting caught nor dying that day. The men, looking death in the eyes, shot their way out of the area making a break for their next undisclosed hideout. Luckily some of them were able to recognize the bold lettering of ATF and DEA on those men's body armor which allowed Lacerta Company to prepare themselves for what is to come. This is where a new chapter begins...
